Pollard looked good and explosive.

Dowdle looked decent.

But man I'm so glad Zeke is off this team.

And Zeke still screwed us by fumbling in the Eagles game earlier today. Patriots almost had them.
The Cowboys will today because they're going to need a running back in the backfield helping to keep Prescot standing. The Cowboys don't have that back that can knock someone of their butt like Zek did for years......................

Here’s the thing.

Yes Zeke was good at running short yardage. However he also limited the offense when he was on the field in those situations because he didn’t have the speed to get to the edge especially around the goal line.

Having guys like pollard, deuce, turpin, etc in there expands what types of formations you can use and plays you can run.

Pollard had 2 touchdowns and turpin had 1 last game. All in goal to go situations.
There is nothing deuce can do that Pollard can't. Pollard was also better at breaking tackles last year. I don't think they used Pollard and Zeke effectively nor did the blocking scheme help them out. But I do think there will be times you can use a bulldozer and they don't have one. Maybe mikes play calling in short yardage overcomes some of these issues.

Here's the real thing. Pollard just got stuffed twice. Zeke would have scored on at least 1 of those runs. That's the difference.

1. You have no way of knowing that.

2. Nobody scores on that 2nd run. Zeke ain’t getting a touchdown if he is hit in the backfield like pollard was.

3. The cowboys still scored down there.

Let's been fair Pollard had 2.9 yards a carry. Zeke had 3.5 and y'all were crucifying him. Let's keep that same energy for Pollard. He was terrible. Dowdle looks more explosive.

I don't get the Zeke hate and never have.

Zeke was on track for HOF and put up very good numbers. Was recruited to win a SB with Romo.. and it went to pot when Ginger kept Dak in.

Then Zeke went into decline and was being overpaid for his production. We were right to cut him.

Having said that.. on a cheap contract.. he would have been handy today as he was still very good at being a short yardage heavy hitter. But even as a Zeke fan.. I'm not upset he is gone.

I am upset that we missed a perfect opportunity to ride a potential HOF RB to a championship and blew it because we had such poor coaches. Kellen Moore is the worst run calling OC in the league.. did Zeke no favours.

Pollard today, 25 for 72, 2.9 average, take away his 23 yard run. He was 24 for 49, just over 2 YPC
Rico was better at 3.7.

Pollard so far not impressive. Maybe he Improves.
AND NO IT IS NOT THE OL being the issue.

Disagree. Most those runs not much he’s running right into the d without much holes. He actually ran hard - need get him in open space.

Really. So it is an excuse for Pollard, but last year it was not for Zeke….double standards strikes again….
