I despise the Steelers, probably my most hated AFC team by far, but their schedule was brutal.

You’re way off base. The numbers prove otherwise. The players make more now than they ever have. The ratings prove the NFL owns TV. Players will always complain. They are the softest they have ever been and are pampered more now than ever before. They sit out with sprains, pulls, and stingers. It’s insane.

Worst run league in sports? I guess to some degree that's a matter of perspective, BUT, it's hard to argue against their immense success. For example:

The NFL Draft, to repeat, just THE DRAFT, got more than TWICE as many viewers as any NHL Stanley Cup game during last finals, and wasn't far at all behind the freaking World Series. Does ANYONE watch the NBA, MLB, or hockey drafts? No.

Fantasy Football.... i.e. pretend NFL football,...had a world wide revenue of 30 billion in 2023. Major League Baseball....i.e. the actual game of baseball, not pretend baseball, had a revenue one third of pretend football.

Call the NFL unscrupulous or greedy or liars or whatever.....but from a BUSINESS standpoint, you can't say they are "poorly run". They own America.

Christmas is on a Thursday next year and then Friday the year after. The way-too-short time between games won't be an issue again until 2029.

A person would have to have netflix, Amz prime,nfl network to see any of the games! They would have to have all
3 of those to see them all while nothing is on network TV!

I would think that the networks would be mad since they pay nfl more than anyone else. They didnt get 1 single game.

They should have had at least one or 2 on network TV on xmas day.

Well it is all based on Neilsen ratings, and then it is estimated based on that.
I can see where if NFL paid nielson a billion a year they would make sure those ratings stay high ??

I live in a house that has every single streaming service. I despise Disney but my daughters freak if I even suggest dropping it. Amazon barely gets watches. Hulu also is useless. Netflix is tolerable but their agenda is horse sheet so I would kick them off the life raft. I must say Apple is excellent. We just went through Sugar, Bad Monkey and 4 seasons of Slow Horses like a hot knife through butter. Love the shows there. My main point is I can’t keep up with where the damn games are. It sucks.

Off base, it's a business...it's about making money. Not hard to understand. All the verbiage is for the fans and media. You know all this, I don't get the gripe. I'd like for them to have games on 7 times a week. I'd watch, would you?

And for ALL of the reasons you've stated, I have absolutely ZERO problems with any player trying to hold out for the highest contracts their agents can negotiate.

I don't care how many playoff games or Superbowls these players may or may not win. If you're going to be placed in danger for enjoyment, get ALL of the financial security you can.

If I'm a player i wouldn't give two ****s how some random fans felt about it when it comes to my financial security for me and my family.

I didn't watch the Christmas games, and I don't think anyone else should.
We are rapidly leaving the values that made this nation great, replacing them with the practices of those who have no convictions about how their families should be raised.
We're becoming a nation full of dummies feeding off the circuses of the greedy.

That "international games" thing really irks me. Never did like that idea. Football was and is an American sport, not stupid international crap. It belongs right here in the USA. They have to spend enough time in the air just flying around the US, let alone if they have to start flying all over the world for an American football game!
