I look at pressure

all the world is looking at him, and he's cracking. HE has shown me he
s stepping up. Last i checked they lost in the bowl game last year? He may have the tools, but he doesnt seem to work well under pressure. AM i giving up hope, no, but right now he hasnt shown he's worth trading up and getting in the first round
We're not going to trade up for him anyway. That's a pipe dream. It isn't even worth the stomach acid to consider.

And should Calvin Johnson have a bad game between now and November, I still want him too.

Exactly.

Oh my gosh, LaDanian Tomlinson had a bad game. Better stay away from him.

I was typing too fast and entered LT's surname wrong. He pointed it out and I corrected it then thanked him.

Like I said, premature evaluation. I had Adrian Peterson for the Heisman anyway, but Smith may get it. I don't care about the Heisman any more.

The bottom line for the NFL Dargon is mechanics, measurables, and poise. When the poker chips all hit the pot, don't forget you folded before the flop.

Over reactions are usually silly.

I agree. Although performance during the season is important, I don't think it's as important as performing well at the combines. The regular season and individual accolades are overrated imo.

If Quinn puts in a poor performance during the season, but shows that he can make all the throws during the combines, he'll still most likely go high.

Conversely, if he puts up Heisman type numbers during the season but shows that he doesn't have enough zip on the 15yd out, he'll likely slip.

It's all about the measurables in terms of advancing to the next level.

Say it again. In fact say it loud and proud. Make that statement echo.

Two words for those writing him off...Charlie Weis.

If you think this kid won't have numbers, measurables, mechanics, and be the most polished QB at the combines then you clearly aren't living in the real world. Guys in here may snicker at the pedigree stuff because they can't see results in every player who has some, trust me, NFL teams do not.

The race doesn't always go to the stronger or faster man, but that's the way to bet.

You would because you're a Buckeye. I'd bet you no NFL team would if they had to choose one or the other. That's what this is about, not alma maters and loyalty.
