your post is ridiculous

Dallas' run blocking the first two preseason games has been horrible...the Dolphins run blocking tonight has been no worse than what I've seen here and I've seen every play in both our preseason games

when Jones is met 5yds in the backfield and has no chance, some of you fools say "he doesnt make anyone miss" or "he runs right into them"...when another teams back has the same thing happen its "well the OL let him down"

fickle folks take "Barry was better than Emmitt because he made people miss and was a home run threat"

fickle folks ignore the fact that Sanders led the league in negative runs like 5 or 6 yrs in a row

same fickle folks on JuJo "JuJo takes too many losses, MBIII might only gain a yd or two but at least it isnt a loss"...totally ignore JuJo's breakaway threat or huge games vs playoff teams and teams with good defenses

Actually the runblocking was pretty good against NO until McQ went in. It was pretty average (or below) against Seattle, but not nearly as bad as the crap I'm seeing on the TV right now.

wow you just do not get it apparently. teams do not trade top 3 picks in hte draft for injury prone 2nd rders. not even on madden.

he's had a broken shoulder blade and a severe high ankle sprain...hows that "injury prone" ??

your seeing what you want to see then, because it was horrible

we had numerous negative running plays, even vs a totally outmanned New Orleans defense

Injury prone or not (and I'm not convinced he is), JJ got more yards and more TDs in less games started than Brown last year. Until proven otherwise, Jones > Brown. End of story, thanks for playing.

That's not being a 'homer', that's being a realist.

You're seeing what you want to see. The story of the preseason has been that our OL sucks and you're just repeating it. Garbage in/Garbage out. In fact, the OL had some bright spots against NO.

it did? not in the run blocking

pass blocking wasnt terrible, but these guys cant get any movement whatsoever in the run game...we had 3 or 4 good runs all night

Incidentally, those were all when Flo was in, which goes hand-in-hand with my comment about the runblocking being good until McQ came in.

I'd pull the trigger on a JJ for Ronnie Brown trigger in a heartbeat as well. He's had some nice moves and is a hard runner. The Dophins run-blocking has been putrid, but he's doing his best.

Say what! I think we have two good tailbacks. I think JJ will have a very good year with Barber a close second. I just don't understand the negativity of some of this board against JJ. Maybe it's just me being a homer and nothing against Brown but I like our tailbacks.

Did Ronnie Brown have Turnstile Pettiti and Torrin Tucker blocking for him? Did he have a shell of Marco Rivera at Guard? All of these things need to be taken into consideration. Brown's YPC was half a yard better. Brown had 12 more yards receiving than Jones. Too insignificant to matter. In 2004 Jones had almost as many yards in 8 games as Brown did in 15 in 2005.

JJ owns Ronnie.

you do realize Jones had 3 more catches than brown had last yr right? and that was in two less games

you'll prob come back with "well Brown split time with pothead Ricky"

JuJo split time with Barber

JuJo also played almost all yr with a bad high ankle sprain, did Brown?

100 yd games- JuJo 4, Brown 2
148+ yd games- Jujo 4, Brown 0
190+ yd games- JuJo 2, Brown 0
2005 Fumbles lost- JuJo 2, Brown 4
30+ carry games- JuJo 4, Brown 0

Don't get me wrong. I'm a big JJ fan. I'm hoping he has a big year and holds MB3 off. No matter how much I like JJ, though, it would be crazy to turn that trade down.

JuJo's best runs were on the opening drive before Flo went down, but Barber had one good run and Thompson had the long run of the game against (and with) the backups

Incidentally, you just confirmed what ogt just said, about JJ's runs coming when Flo was in.

I definitely think we should have more angst over hypothetical trade proposals.

Man, I have not seen a single thing out of Ronnie Brown that makes me think he is going to be a good one.

As I type this he has 10 carries for 12 yards.

wow, definitely didn't mean to start a RB-JJ war or controversy I was mostly just saying that I like the way RB runs. I don't dislike JJ at all.
I also didn't mean to imply that there was anything in reality to lead anyone to presume there was a chance of an actual trade like that.
