Green Bay had 3 passing TDs.

The Cowboys allowed more rushing yards vs the Bears but won that game.

They lost vs the Eagles because Rush threw 3 INTs.

The lost vs the Bucs because they only scored 3 points.

There is no proof that run defense will prevent them from winning...

GB ran for 200 yards which opened up the passing game leaving guys wide open on the back end. To suggest the Packers being able to run on us at will was no factor in the Packers loss is pretty funny.

You are straw manning...

I never said it was "no factor".

The Cowboys defense controlled the run with the help of the offense. In short, the Vikings running game became irrelevant as the points margins widened.

It was my belief that teams trailing in the 2nd half were a little more successful running the ball simply because the defenses were now pinning their ears back and going after the quarterback.

When I tested this theory using the data base at Pro-Reference, my theory was correct.

This season, when a team was leading by at least 7 points in the 2nd half, they were trying to eat up the clock and the defenses were desperately trying to stop them. Runners averaged 3.7 yards a carry.

On the other hand, teams that were behind by at least a touchdown wanted to pass to catch up. Defense knew this and adjusted accordingly. Therefore, when the offense did run the ball, it was with less resistance and their average was 4.8 yards a carry.

This is one of the reasons Delvin Cook had such a high yield on his carries.

Did it?

As noted, Cook still averaged over 6 ypc. The only reason he didn't run all over us was because we swamped them early and Minny had to throw a ton to try to stay in the game.
Better as compared to the Packers Game, but that was a very low bar...

Kellen Moore must have family in Minnesota. We need to thank them for wanting to pass all day with Kirk Cousins when the game was still close.

Well, that and the fact that our run defense sucks.

I even made a thread about the game yesterday morning that is currently sitting at 9 pages long.

Will someone educate this poster about me being here win, lose, or draw, please? Thanks.

You'd think for as much as they pay attention to my posts they would stop with that tired "Well you're only here when we lose!" junk seeing as how I'm literally always here win, lose, or draw lol

not really I’ve tuned you out pretty significantly but the posts are wayyyy less when good things happen

Dalvin Cook averaged 6 1/2 yards per carry Sunday. He had 72 yards on just 11 carries.

We weren't "much better" in run defense Sunday. It just looks that way because we got a lead and Cook only had 3 carries in the entire 2nd half.

The run defense is a big problem and if it doesn't get better then will be a huge part of the reason this team is an early out.

This!!!
But alot of BLIND FANATICS drink the kool aid so fast after a win like the last
