Boasting about a teams regular season is for those with low expectations.

We have been here time and again and until we do real work in the playoffs its meaningless to claim how great this team is
BS. Low expectations? No, it called enjoying the season, as the records and stats are fun, on the way to the playoffs.

Those who constantly whine about getting bumped in the playoffs are the ones with low expectations.

If you only care about the playoffs, then why are you here during the season. Just to post negativity over and over.

ENJOY the season as it unfolds, rather we win the division or are 5th seed in the playoffs, from where it stands now.
There are many teams that would trade places with us right now. And their fans would be VERY HAPPY about it.

If he is healthy, Leonard will be a Cowboy by the end of the week. There is a reason he visited the Cowboys first.
Sure but if we are going to make him jump through hoops when other teams are interested , he will go somewhere else. The eagles are desperate for a linebacker as they are down to 3rd stringers.

just wishful thinking. obviously he's not the player he's been, but if he can recapture even some of the magic it fills a pretty glaring need for us. low risk high reward.
Like a lotto ticket I suppose. Won't cost much since Indy is paying his salary. The hoopla is hilarious.

why the excitement over a JAG.player
There's an answer for that.

A JAG LB with (a) an apparently high current regard for his run-stopping performance... do we need that?... and (b) especially high upside given his pre-surgery history.

In the building... sounds good. Out to lunch with Jerry... sounds even better. Say what you will about Jerry but he is our #1 salesman. It's like Bryan Broaddus said, Jerry can sell a glass of water to a drowning man.

To get an offer to take to the Eagles?
The offer doesn’t matter. He’s getting paid his cobtract he had with the colts no matter where he signs. It’s just about where he thinks he fits, get playing time and a chance at a ring

LVE is gone if they sign him.

I'm not worried about the Eagles. They have less than 2 mill of cap space left in 2023.

BTW, it's amazing how much dead cap money the Eagles are carrying. 60+ mill

they're cash strapped but would probably still somehow make the deal. They should cut the safety they just traded for lol
Who ever signs him it’s gonna be cheap since colts have to pay the difference in his contract. He gets his full salary either way. He’s not signing a whole new contract

Money won’t matter. He’s a vet and was on colts roster the first game. He gets his remaining contract paid.
He'll want a long term deal with tons of GTD $$$.

His last deal had 50+ mill GTD.

Doesnt make sense to risk injury in 2023 without it, especially with his bad back.

Why would Indy give up on him and eat $ millions if he was still good? Perplexing that people are so excited over this one. He is a shell of himself. Maybe he's better than Rashaad Evans? Maybe?
It’s the colts lol who knows why they do what they do. Ingest coming off two surgeries so I’m sure he wasn’t the same early on

I think LVE is gone anyway. That situation doesn't sound good as far as him ever playing again. He'll be a good coach.

You make an excellent point about the Eagles. Thank you, I hadn't considered that angle.

It's prorated so you can sign a guy for like $4m. They just did it with Julio. Leonard is going to get close to vet min anyway.

It's not $60m against this year's cap. That includes things like Cox' void years.

People who follow the Colts at work said he's pretty much washed.

So dunno on this one. Provides depth and leadership ability.

I compare this somewhat to Zeke.

Here, with his contract, him declining, his pay, made him replaceable. In his role in New England, for the pay you cannot complain.

Leonard, will be the same. On a cheap, veteran deal that can help this teams playoff push? Adds toughness, smarts and grit to help the run game? Sign me up
