I don't know. But there will be melt downs either way. :muttley:

IMO, it will be good to sign him, as there is nothing to lose buy giving it a try.
There was a time,if Jerry wanted you,you wouldn't leave unsigned..I want this guy signed if for no other reason, the eagles won't get him.

Can we get one thing straight. Philadelphia are not in the market for him and never have. If they were he would have visited them yesterday. There is little to no market.
We don’t know this. Philly played the 4:25 game and Cunningham was hurt. They did an MRI on him on Monday.

So they likely had little to no interest pre injury. If Cunningham is fine I don’t see much interest. But it’s unlikely he would find out late Sunday / Early Monday and fly to Philly.

Just remember, the name doesn't take the field, the player does. Leonard is not the same player he was 4 years ago. The Colts reduced his playing time because he was playing so poorly. Then they just cut him from the roster.

I never have a problem giving any player a look-see, but I am not fooling myself into thinking Leonard is a difference maker just because he plays for Dallas. The Cowboys already have Rashaan Evans and he was supposed to be a great pickup too. The defense is playing well. Damone Clark is developing into a good player. Bell is making plays, and so is Juanyeh Thomas when he gets in. Let the Eagles sign him. He is not going to make a big difference for them either.

That’s true, but Tyron is a technically great player.

Leonard’s game relied heavily upon athleticism, and his speed is lacking now.
I don’t think we know honestly. I honestly feel he was in a bad situation and when they lessened his reps was the nail in the coffin.

I think he ultimately he ends up here but I do think he’s leaving today without a contract, not because of our lack of interest or aggression but because he’ll want to at worst hear the eagles pitch.

If he’s healthy, sign him to like 3 year deal…..we are gonna need a LVE replacement anyway and Shaq is young still…..maybe he needed to get out of Indy.
we hesitated on Bobby Wagner and he’s been lights out still the past couple seasons even though he’s a good bit older than Shaq. Shaq prolly won’t be THAT expensive either. Shaq plus Clark and Overshown coming back next year and Evans…..nice little LB squad (good run stoppers in Shaq and Evans)…..wouldn’t need to draft any.

aren't evans and leonard run stuffers?
Not sure if Evans is, who was "signed off the couch'' by the Cowboys. So for insurance, get Leonard too. This team needs more physical LBers this year, and into next year. Keep the one that pans out, if any.

Jourdan Schultz reported the meeting has concluded and he's set to meet with Philly next. No decision until the weekend.

If he comes in and helps us win. And win in the playoffs. Then if he gets a high pay day somewhere else, and we get a 3rd or 4th round comp pick.
I am fine with that.
I was thinking more about when Dallas was in talks with that CB years ago and Philly came in and took him right before he was rumored to sign with Dallas.
