The Cowboys image has long since been tainted anyway - Irvin, Erik Williams, Nate Newton, Pac Man, Hardy. and I have probably missed a dozen more!

Why would we think Zeke is bigger when he was not even charged in a court of law? Zeke is a 21 year old with very poor judgement at this point in time....

And you believe Elliott is completely innocent and has never laid a hand on this girl?
#winwithout21

I do.

She not only lied to police and tried to tamper with a witness...but she knew there were several eyewitnesses at the scene. That's not only lying, it's extremely brazen. It's a sign that she feels that she can lie and get away with it because the cops and the NFL will always believe the woman instead of the man.

Furthermore, 5 different witnesses gave sworn affidavits that they saw Thompson prior to the fight on the 21st...ranging as early as the 16th...and they all swore (including 2 women) that they saw no bruises on Thompson. In fact, Chiedu Bosah gave a picture of him, EE and Thompson with no bruises on her that was taken on the 21st.

There's a LOT more to come out of this and it will be on EE's side. And it's going to be very embarrassing for the NFL and maybe people will finally understand that Thompson has zero credibility and was looking for revenge because EE cheated on her.

We didn't need a court of law to tell us Irvin was a coke head thug abusing women .

Many fans just looked the other way with his talent level and championships.

Again , I'm not arguing his criminal charges. My only concern is the Commissioners ruling.

Yes we did. What country do you live in? Did you go to school and learn about the American Justice system? I consider a person innocent until proven guilty. It is a fundamental right. Today's school system!

It does because it's a ridiculous principle.

You are basically punishing somebody for success.

And just like I mentioned in the hypothesis...if it was a famous celebrity woman who was accused of drugging and raping an ordinary dude...you wouldn't say 'to much is given, much is required.'

It's hypocritical...point blank

YR

No, it's not ridiculous. That's how responsibility works.
But it doesn't matter what you think or what I think. It's what is. And either you and me and Zeke recognize the principle, adjust accordingly or we suffer the consequences.

FYP.....without Jimmy we wouldn't have 3 championships in the 90's.....if it was Jerry we would have been able to win post Jimmy, but we haven't, it's just been one bad decision after another.

I think Larry Lacewell had a lot to do with it. The Parcells hire helped clean things up a bit, but Jimmy still would have struggled in the salary cap era to stay as dominant as those early 90s teams were.

All in all, it all works out for the best in the end, I think. We'll win again, and soon. And I think we have a chance to win more than once. You have to give Jerry Jones credit if you're also going to criticize.

Goodell plays everything by the court of public opinion. Get that to switch around in EE's favor and that pile of garbage will reduce or eliminate the suspension.

Again, if this was flipped around and Thompson was the celebrity, you wouldn't be talking this way.

This idea that celebrities can have their rights abused because they are celebrities is ridiculous anyway.

But this doesn't have to do with celebrity status, it has to do with a woman accusing a man and we always believe the woman and try and 'man shame' him while *anything* that is used against the woman just further perpetuates her as a victim, regardless if she is or not.

First, this isn't my principle.
Second, you wouldn't be talking about Zeke if he weren't a Cowboy.
Third, the principle would apply to a wealthy woman who was a celebrity just as it would Zeke - all things being equal.

This idea that celebrities can have their rights abused because they are celebrities is ridiculous anyway.

This isn't necessarily about celebrities having their rights abused. This is more about celebrity choices and who they choose to befriend and hang out with. And those decisions carry consequences. My observation is broader than your parochial perspective.

Well, you can blame men for the reason why we believe women first. I don't need to explain why for that's governed by another principle: the principle of sowing and reaping. ;)

Read the letter to EE.

It says that another suspension from DV *may* result in his banishment from the league.

It's not an automatic banishment.

I love how people passive aggressively wish for this stuff to happen.

Not wishing at all. Interesting how fans interpret lack of support for a player or the team because of their position on an issue.

And the policy clearly states second offense is a ban.

Your position on an issue is to believe a person that has been caught lying to police on said issue and then tampering with a witness on said issue and also discussing in detail of extorting money from the person they accused on said issue.

And the logic is to condemn the accused for going to a legal marijuana dispensary, being in a club where somebody else threw a punch against somebody else, pulling down the blouse of a woman that he was dating (and she told the NFL she had no problem with it) and various things like getting caught speeding...all of which have nothing to do with said issue.

Then trying to claim that the next time he gets accused of DV, he will be automatically banned when the league's letter to the NFL specifically states that it *may* result in banishment.

Sounds like a duck and walks like a duck to me.

"May" would assume that this decision isn't final yet. I'd like to see the link where that was mentioned in such fashion. The

I respect your passion for defending Elliott's innocence but as I've stated that's not my core concern. And I understand its conflicting interest but while I want Elliott on the roster I want to support the NFL policy.

I'm hopeful it's reduced or over turned because if not that hurts our team but if not I'll accept it because I'm in support of being tough on this issue and I'll abide by their decision .
