Todd archer (ESPN) says with the Lawrence signing the Cowboys are now Superbowl contenders. If Travis Frederick returns to Pro bowl form and Connor William's improves his size and strength the offensive line will be better and we will have depth. Robert Quinn is going to add a ton of speed and marinelli will get the best pit of him. Cobb along with an improved Gallup and Amari Cooper are going to be fun to watch. Zeke is Zeke. Dak had like 14 TDs after cooper arrived imagine a whole season. LVE and Smith will be better. We will have a very food season especially with a strong draft.

I think Dallas can be SB contenders if these 4 things happened.

1) Sign Suh to 1 or 2 year deal.
2) Draft DT in 2nd round.
3) Draft S in 3rd round.
4) Dak takes another step forward.

Well honestly DLaw hasn't done anything of note in the 2 playoff games last year. Cant move the needle if you are a non factor. The last 3 years has shown his body starts breaking down towards the end of seasons. Maybe finally repairing his labrum fixes that?

I hate to say it...but we still need a proven QB.

2019 will expose our fraud QB. Kellen Moore will ask our QB to hit intermediate routes in stride...and Dak is poor @ that.

Infact...the Kellen Moore playbook will be all about timing...I see a problem brewing:facepalm:

Who is the worst HC to ever win a Super Bowl?

Switzer doesn't count....he was simply asked to continue his retirement in Dallas to prove Jerry's point, he was never brought in here to coach.

Maybe Brian Billick. Dude was supposed to be some kind of offensive guru but got carried to a Super Bowl by an all-time defence with which he had little to do. He's done nothing as a talking head to convince me he'd make much of a coach either.

Of course he counts. He was a figure head who helped screw up winning 3 in a row.

The Cowboys have been talent dependent ever since except for the years with Bill.

We are talent dependent again. Do we have enough talent to overcome any weaknesses in coaching. Probably not.

DLaw was not the key to being a SB contender, so no, his signing does not put the Cowboys over the top. What might get them there may depend on what happens in the coming draft. Shoring up the middle of the defensive line would be a welcome move along with getting better talent at safety. On the offensive side of the ball, a WR and a RB to better our depth at those positions is much needed. These are the things that can make or break this coming season.
But he was a key to being a playoff contender. I can’t imagine what this DL would like without Lawrence and Gregory. And what the effects might have been.

We've been super bowl contenders for a few years now
Im not sure I’d say that. We’ve been playoff contenders but not serious contenders for a Super Bowl.

One can be contenders to win their division and possibly conference without being serious contenders for a Super Bowl.

If the Browns have better odds than us to win the Super Bowl then I question . Lol

Please we're better than the Eagles. Eagles have an aging roster, no running game, a fragile QB mentally and physically.
If Wentz stays healthy they will be contenders for division and playoffs. They had an off season last year and still got in but they don’t have Foles to fall back on if Wentz goes down.

It all depends on the offense imo
You might be right.

Not sure we can be SB contenders with a 22nd ranked passing offense and 15th ranked QB. Both need to elevate to be serious contenders assuming the defense can maintain top 10 status.

IMO this is the year we must bust down the wall with our Rookie sensations contracts coming up next year.

Im not sure we’re ready but it’s goung to get much tougher to surround them once we do pay them.

you have to be able to win tough games on the road against better teams in late January tobe a true superbowl contender
