We probably do, but nothing we can do as they are not here anymore......need to figure this red zone out or the Boys aren't going anywhere this year. Thats why stats dont tell the whole story if you look at the offensive numbers.
They rarely do. Someone in the "dak elevation" thread said Dak's third down conversion is proof of elevating.

Really? Just pull any old stat out to show your case?

What was the excuse last week when all three of these lineman played and they settled for 4 FG's due to their RZ problems? At some point you have to stop blaming injuries and stop making excuses.

well the reality is that the Oline has not been intact this year and it has shown in all 3 games unfortunately. I dont think its an excuse i think its just something that is impacting the play - had no bearing on the crappy defensive performance and the inability to yet again stop the run, nor did it have an impact on our wr's being lazy, but the point is when you have multiple points of failure in other elements of the game, injuires get harder to overcome.

Also, it was 1 bad game, plus AZ has won 7 or the last 8 aginast us....so clearly we are taking them lightly and they are doing the opposite to us.

Redzone offense has not been an issue in Dallas for years, so considering we have nearly the same lineup that pretty much led the league in scoring over the last 3 seasons, I have faith they can get things sorted out.

When you watch the all 22, our receivers are just completely blanketed in the redzone almost every play. Something else I found perplexing was that quite a few times they were just giving up on their routes almost immediately.

I watched a few film breakdowns on the last few weeks redzone offense and it seems that the blame can be spread about to evenly to the wideouts, McCarthy, and Dak.

The wideouts simply must run their routes with more purpose, McCarthy needs to figure out some ways to scheme open some open looks (way too many plays with poor design), and Dak cannot miss throws when they actually are available.

3 games, two of which were pretty much over by half due to game flow, is not a massive sample size so I am not ready to panic yet, but Dallas needs to start putting the ball in the endzone starting with the NE game.

No, actually I would say that they were missing three starters along the offensive line. Anyone that doesn't believe that was significant cannot possibly understand the game.

It wasn't that they were just missing three starters, they were the only three on the offensive line that had ever been a Pro Bowl selection in their careers.

Two of these injuries occurred 2 or 3 days before the game. There is no way they could have adequately prepared their replacements, two undrafted rookie free agents.

I mean, c'mon, that line was composed of three undrafted players, two of them rookies, a 1st round pick in his second season just coming off an injury, and a "veteran" free agent that had not started a full seasons worth of games during his 5 season career.

How often have we failed at the one yard line at the goal line ?
How often have we even got to the one yard line vs Cardinals ?

Goal line power running was Zeke's only biggest value.
And we're not missing any goal line scoring running.

He's a in a stuck in mud- lumberer nowadays.
He's not a big play runner or receiver anymore. Very few and rare splash plays.

There's a reason why he was cut from the Cowboys - and he wasn't even near in his 30's of age.

..right now! Schultz yeah, Zeke nope. Dallas has no problems getting to RZ.

They can punch it from two or one. They have problems from five or more.

What is needed, TE or RW to get open. Schultz was good at that. Some players have CANNY abilities for certain things.

I believe using Luepke would help but moreso just FINALLY having all 5 starting Olinemen in at the same time would make this offense look like last yrs unit

Dallas needs to stop getting tackled around the 10yd line. Get tackled inside the five and it will look much better :muttley:
I can’t remember a game where there were that many 1st & goal from just inside the 10, or 1st and 10 just outside the 10. Really makes it tougher to convert for a TD.

Well you saw what happened on Sunday. , when he throw over the middle into triple coverage
I’d live to be a fly on the wall and hear their film review. I can’t decide if Dak simply didn’t see White, or the Cards disguised the defense and Dak thought White would cover the flat. If it’s the later, that was a sure TD.

White adjusted to the ball while in air and contorted his body to catch it , receiver was no where in picture to hit and at least make it incompletion , pathetic

They played the Jets. Top Red zone team in football. No excuses for the Cardinals but the Jets D is legit

Maybe, maybe not but this is similar to when released Dez and it took a while to replace his redzone production

DAL hasn't thrown a WR TD and we're about to play our 4th game.
