Are the Garrett years the worst ever?

The Cowboys have had their share of misserable seasons, most notably the Campo years. But you knew the Cowboys were bad, you had no hope back then.

But this team?

This team, under this coach, just constantly rips your heart out. Did you know that other than the Chargers doing it one time, no other team but the Cowboys has lost a home game while leading by 23 or more points at halftime since 1999. And Garrett has done it TWICE. How many times has he screwed up game managment, timeouts, challenges and playcalling. These past 3 seasons have been a chore to watch.

And now? We still have hope, not only are we still alive, but all we have to do to make the playoffs is beat a terrible 3 win team and then a mediocre one at home. We should all be excited for the next two games, but who here is? Watching this team you are just waiting for the other shoe to drop. You expect the worst, and you usually get that. Don't get me wrong, I hope we win out and make the playoffs, but let's get real, that probaly won't happen.

These 3 years, for me, have been the most frustrating, dissappointing seasons of watching Cowboys football, this team has no identity, no focus and no direction. The only silver lining is that Garret will probably not survive this. I do not hate Garrett, he seems like a nice guy, I just think he is a horrible head coach, He will probably go down as the worst coach in Cowboys history.

Yes. It seems like a never-ending barrage of just horribly gut-wrenching, heart-breaking losses. The Garrett-led Cowboys have really done a good job of finding new ways to embarrass this organization.

Making the playoffs means another year of Garrett (at least). The thought of actually making the playoffs is beginning to scare me.

Campo didnt have near the alleged talent thats on this team now so there were no real expectations.

This is worse in my opinion if for no other reason than 18 years removed from our last championship it has become painfully clear we will never win one again as long as Jerry Jones owns this team. NEVER

He had a better defense.

Campo, but the last year or two of Switzer for me personally were worse. I knew I was watching the end of the triplets and that was depressing.

At least in the Campo years there were really no illusions about what you were in for. We sucked, but we all pretty much knew we were going to suck.

As far as expectations vs performance, absolutely this is the worst.

But in reality you should have no expectations with Jerry around.

Yeah that was the end of an era of greatness.

i wish i could remember the specifics but there was a game when the cowboys scored with about 5 minutes left against denver that put them down by 10. he kicked the xp instead of going for 2.. i never forgave him for that.. lol

The Campo teams never collapsed like this team did today.

This team does it at least 2 or 3 times a season.
