Are the Giants a "hangover" game?

If the Cowboys get sloppy on offense/special teams and turn the ball over 4 times yeah, they could get beat.

Manning always seems to tear Dallas a new one... even in defeat.

I love our chances against the Eagles this season. The one thing I don't think of when I think of Philly is physical. This Cowboys team is a beast. The Philly team does it with smoke and mirrors. I love how that will turn out.

Everything sets up for a Dallas walkover. NYG just lost their nickel CB McBride, they may be without their starting CB DRC due to back spasms, their starting RB is out and they just lost their best offensive player Cruz for the year. And they are coming off a game where their somewhat shaky OL was dominated in a shutout. To say we're catching the NYG at the right time is an understatement. But of course, the league surprises you every week. Hopefully the Cowboys don't fall into the trap and come out with a the same intensity and focus as they did yesterday.

The Giants aren't very good and the Victor Cruz injury hurts.
They are well coach so won't go away but that team looks like we did at 8-8.

Dallas isn't going to have a let down game in a division opener at home.
We are the only team in the NFCE not to play a division game yet.

I could see an 8-2 Cowboys team losing to the Giants in NY tho.
That's a few days before Philly and that could be a trap game.

I loved this win vs Seattle but I'm a little worried about our game next week. The Giants just got humiliated after a week of smack talk, and next week is their last fighting chance to stay relevant in the playoff chase. I understand that good teams win anyway, but I can't shake the feeling that the Cowboys are riding high after this win and maybe overlook the Giants next week.

Thoughts?

Houston was supposed to be a "hangover" game. I heard it right here in this sacred forum. We all know how that turned out.

Yep, there were a bunch of threads that popped up after Dallas dominated the Saints saying as much. I didn't buy it then and I'm not buying it now. Dallas isn't going to take the Giants lightly. They will prepare for a tough game.

I think this is a different team we are seeing and I don't think they will look past the Giants. It's any given Sunday. I really hope the Boys stay focused on the "process" and prepare for the Giants as if they were 5-0.

I hope this is correct, I want RM to go hard on the D this week. I think the O-line will be nasty regardless and I think DM willl run hard as well. But I do wish ALL the media will focus on someone else (I though the NFL is better when Dallas is playing well)

More like a hangman game... Only need a letter or two and giants are done!

How can you even suggest the Giants as a trap game? They're a division rival who the Cowboys have had some chippy contests against over the last few years.

Our 'Boys will be ready.

And, there will be tons of Giants fans there sorry they wasted their money.

The physical play that this team has been playing with? The Commanders team looked big and physical, but the Eagles look small and fast. I have not watched a Giants game to see how big they look.

But, I think the Cowboys are ready for any takers. Hopefully the crowd will help them have a "home" game for once! lol

This will be another true test for this team, how they handle success; good thing is like those young teams of the 90's these guys dint know they aren't supposed to win games like these.

Yeah, it has the feelings of a trap game for sure. I just think they are so bad that they don't even have a chance. Also, who knows how many of their players are in quit mode right now. I hope we annihilate and embarrass them!

Giants have issues between the tackles on offense and "unfortunately", because I personally like him, Cruz is lost for the season. Cowboys always seem like a better match up for them, but the ease in which the Eagles destroyed them does not go away in a week. Many of the fans seemed tickled pink at the fact that Eli did not throw any interceptions. But he also did not give his team any chance to win either. Do interceptions really matter when you don't punch the clock but get paid? I don't think the team stomping on the Eagles logo helped very much either...note to coaching staff: NOT SMART!

Giants always play us well.

I expect a close win.

Yeah but to be honest the Giants are a shell of thesmselves. They took a serious lost yesterday and they have to be doubting themselves. I do think they will try to feed off our momental but by the time the 3rd quarter hits they will begging to leave.
