My wife gets floor seats to the game from her company, occasionally. I was at game 2, and had never seen the Rockets play live. What little respect I had for Harden, was quickly lost. He is a dirty player, plays with his elbows to the defender, he almost knocked Patty's teeth out a couple of times, right in front of the refs, no call. He is a whiny little *****, constantly complaining to the refs. Beverly is just the same, those two are crap players. One thing I noticed too, was that the Rockets tend to tune out their coach, during time outs, on several occasions, they stood around the refs complaining. If they don't get the calls, if further takes them out of their game.

One other thing I hate about the NBA is the playoff referees, they want to be part of the story. Scott Foster, in particular..... if he's reffing a Spurs game, there's a good chance the Spurs will lose. In game 2 they over came him and Brothers to win. If the game would have been close, the Spurs lose.

Harden is a choker in the playoffs, he has great reg seasons but turns into a one-man team when it matters. Houston only used 7 players and no wonder they were out of gas.

Hey, lets run iso plays down to 3 seconds on the clock........great idea!

Hou wins game six and like I said earlier, SA wins in 7.

If Kawhi Leonard's ankle swells up were he can't play game 6 then yeah, the Rockets will win. Otherwise, this series ends next game.

Still no idea how Hardin gets away with his kindergarten crossover and defenders don't just take the ball from him.....he crosses it over right in front with a low dribble
Before he makes a move every time. I know he would've shot over the top of me but he's never keeping the ball with that crossover and grandma first step.
Because if you try to take it, he flops, flails, and overreacts to all contact....the refs then call you for a foul, even if you didn't touch him, or if he initiated all the contact......it is frustrating, annoying, and sickening to watch.

The Spurs just let Hardin play his game and minimized everyone else. I think he scored in the 40's last night but they still lost. That's why I don't get the MVP love for players like him and Westbrook. Shouldn't the MVP be a winner?
Westbrook is surrounded by some subpar talent. He carrief that team. To me, the MVP race is between Westbrook and Leonard. I am a Spurs homer, so I give it to Leonard, but would not be upset if Russell wins.

Despite the Spurs amazing win last night in OT and being up in the series 3-2 to the Rockets, that late game ankle injury to Leonard gives, "Are the Spurs Done?", a whole new meaning. I doubt Pop lets him play game 6 in Houston.

Enjoy game 7, sports fans.

Pyrrhic victory for the Spurs. Even if they win their series with the Rockets, they can't beat the Warriors in the WCF without Parker and Leonard. Spurs are done, it's only a matter of time.

If Kawhi can play, he plays. No way Pop sits him to set up a G7 matchup.

Depends what you mean by "done." This season or their run as a legit contender? They've been "done" forever. They've been too old for ten years. Even if Tony/Manu retire, they'll still likely be a top 2-4 seed in the West - the Warriors will obviously be the favorites as long as their big4 are healthy and playing at a high level, but the Spurs will be one of the teams right there waiting for an inch of daylight. They re-load and find the perfect players for their system.

Ha ha that's true
Honestly I can't really watch basketball much anymore despite playing it over half my life. It's so ridiculously subjective and the ref betting scandal should've shut the league down but I guess people like it so much they wouldn't listen.., kinda like pro wrestling ha

It would be nice if the refs wouldn't coddle Harden all the time. So many times, he isn't even touched, not just against the Spurs, but against everyone, and he flops and flails. Then come the whistles from the refs. It is completely absurd. I am so sick of the love he and Chris Paul get from the refs.

Anderson couldn't miss in the first two games, making some HORSE type shots. However, at the end of game two, he started to lose the heat on his shot....and tonight, did he even play?

DAntoni is a complete putz. Pop owns him. I remember when the Spurs beat the Suns in a playoff game or series.....I actually believe it was the Steve Nash bloody nose game, where a bottled water owned DAntoni in the post game press conference. Not only did Pop outcoach him, but a water bottle defeated him as well.......He finally gave up trying to open the water and just sat there like a dufus and answered questions. That post game press conference will always define the ineptitude of DAntoni and a head coach in my eyes.....and he has done little since to discredit my stance.

It was nice to see Aldridge decide to play this series. I am glad Pau is back in the starting lineup. Simmons has come to play. Green is one of the best transition defenders in the league, along with Lebron and Kawhi. Murray started of shaky, but seemed to get his wits about him and play decent the rest of the game. I feel his game will become more steady and reliable as the playoffs go along. My biggest issue with the game tonight was the turnovers, about half of them were unforced. At least 2 or 3 where Spurs players played defense against other Spurs players by accident and caused the turnover. Still a good game and a good win, on to game 4, where I feel the Spurs will win and go up 3-1.

GO SPURS GO

Harden is a fraud! Only Capela came to play, the rest are booking vacation packages.

Relax my friend, it's only halftime. The Spurs are infamous for losing large halftime leads.

Haha, it is over. Houston can't overcome 19 down, not enough talent or coaching :(

Luckily, I am not near as invested in bball as I am for Dallas and the Mets :flagwave:

Tonight, no Kawhi Leornard, no Tony Parker... On this night they should have plenty of talent to over come the Spurs.
