Diggs is overrated. Micah is undersized, was amazing for the first half of the season and just solid for the remainder. They either need to bulk him up without losing too much speed or find a way to keep him fresh.

Ask Zeke about bulking up without losing too much speed....

Diggs is underrated..

People just don't understand that because they're spoiled and forgot what it's like to have average cornerbacks.

I’d trade em both for draft capital. We are going to waste them anyway.

Diggs is over hyped cause of one season . And Parsons while great is inconsistent. He disappears in some games .
Well I now see where the saying "There's no pleasing some people" Or maybe you're a draftnik, either way dude that view is way over the top

Micah is awesome. He is a game changer.

Diggs is extremely good, one of the ballhawk CBs that this fan base has been asking for for years. Fans complained about how they’d give up a smidgeon of Byron Jones’ tight coverage ability if he got more picks.

Well, now we have that guy, so people are whining about how he’s not as tight in coverage as they’d like. Still, he’s a true #1 CB. 17 INTs in his first 3 seasons speaks for itself.

It's the latter option. Gotta find ways to keep him fresh.

Both guys are good and even great. But Micah's game seems to be based on unreal athleticism that could leave him as he ages, and corners traditionally can fall off at any moment.

We can't concern ourselves with their next contracts until the time comes.

Until then, enjoy them while they last.

Are these two players Diggs and Parsons really that great, or are they being labeled as great because of one stellar season???

Micah rookie year
Diggs career year when he had over 10 interceptions
Diggs had a better year this year than last. Last year he was a gambler who got burned often. This year he was shutting down the other team’s number 1 and giving up 300 fewer yards in the process.

Micah legits creates scenarios where the rest of the defense is made better. OCs spend their time planning around him.. this opens everyone else on the defense. Concerning Diggs, it's tough to say. He can't singlehandedly lift the defense the way Parsons can.

Huh? So in some alternate universe we can remember the super bowl 28 years ago but somehow forget we were pretty much the worse defense in the league just 3 years ago prior to micah being here. all I can do is laugh.

I don't understand what this means, you beat up offensive players like QB RB wr but he's tired etc???
of the 3 you mentioned only 1 of them goes against guys who are bigger on nearly every play and those RB's last maybe 3 years in the NFL. Micah is an undersized DE. While he is clearly strong enough with a high motor it takes a huge tole on his body playing primarily DE for the majority of his snaps. Just look at his production the last half the season. If he has to be out there for nearly every defensive play he needs to split more reps at LB so he doesn't get worn down nearly as much and or find ways to get him as the free rusher where someone with 60+ lbs on him isn't mauling him.

Yes, Micah is the 2nd best player on our team, behind only Martin. And it's close.

They are both great players. Parsons is a generational talent while Diggs is not imo.

Parsons is really that great. He is a force, even when he's not getting sacks. Can play the run and the pass.
Big thing is to try to keep him fresh for a 17 game season as he goes 120% every snap

Diggs I think is good, but like a Xavien Howard type of corner and not a truly great one. Can make plays, can give up plays. Tackling is suspect at times. Not sure if he's worth being the top paid corner, even for a year.

I think Diggs stepped it up a notch in lesser surrendered big plays this year - he even shut down WR Justin Jefferson in their showdown meeting with the Vikes.

So he's shown both shutdown coverage ability and he's still a top elite INT ball hawk.

If teams did not throw his way,... was it because they were that fearful of his INT skills ? ... or because his WR guy just was not covered ?
Either way we win.

Frankly at contract time, Parsons is gonna be re-signed as the highest paid defensive player in the NFL .
....while Diggs will eventually become the highest paid CB in the NFL. (a claim Byron Jones once had when he signed on with the Dolphins)

If MIcah plays 90% of snaps as a LB and is not forced to play DE he will have a long and fruitful career I think. Yes he is great at LB. Diggs is long, fast and has great ball skills. Exactly what you want in today's NFL. He hasn't reached take the best player out of the game status yet but he could be there next year. And that would make him great. https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/202...von-diggs-stats-interceptions-pro-bowl-voting
that dropped pick vs sf negates the argument of him having good hands. couldn't show up when it mattered.

I’ve noticed some fan displeasure with Parsons for the first time this past season. I’ve seen a couple of fans ask what his trade value might be. It’s pretty obvious this fanbase has become beyond frustrated.

Lol, they are arguably our two best players. Parsons for sure is.
Look around the board a lot of fans here want to move on from all of our best players. They don’t want to pay anyone. Parsons is starting to receive some negative commentary from a few fans. Lol
