Are we a better team with Dak or Rush?

You have some good ideas. Tell me some teams that have moved on from a qb with multiple pro bowls and was leading the league in passing just a year or so ago. I don’t think it’s a good idea. We see many teams struggle for years because they can’t even get a decent QB.

Maybe I’m still scared from the pre Romo years, but it seems to me that getting a quality QB isn’t easy. Though he hasn’t played great in the playoffs overall, it seems the D has been more to blame for the losses.

At least you have some ideas, most just say move on with no plan. I still feel replacing him won’t be easy, but maybe I’m wrong.

Definitely unorthodox, but Alex Smith had a fantastic regular season in 2017 (led the league in QB rating). He struggled against the best competition in the biggest moments though and Andy Reid obviously felt they needed more from the position.

Goff (the number one pick overall) got LA to the Super Bowl and a few years later he is basically given to another team because McVay felt Stafford was more dynamic and fit his scheme better.

I think fans get so caught up on what it looks like with a bad overall team and just an okay QB. The problem for most GMs is that they would not survive more than a few years of bad results (the three years post Aikman would sink other GMs). Most GMs do not get the chance to actually build a good roster-they get fired first. And restarts every 3 years with a brand new front office destroys a franchise. Look what Purdy is already doing with SF. QB position can be greatly diminished based on scheme and surrounding talent.

I mean...the receivers certainly looked better under Rush. Noah Brown looked great, but has magically disappeared with Dak. Seems like this has happened before, hmmm.....
Yup, Noah has completely disappeared with Dak. Nowhere to be found.
