I want to do this poll before the trade deadline. We're over a third of the way into the season. Enough time to get a good feel for what they are this year.

2022 Cowboys vs 2023 Cowboys

Who you got in this epic matchup?

Good question and an interesting poll. Won't take part in it though as I really couldn't decide. So far it looks like some kind of groundhog day. Better defense, worse offense, same results. Ask me again in January. :)

Losing Diggs is the real killer...was always possible of a turnover with him. Now???? Teams are starting to figure out Gilmore is a shell of himself...

This years offense is broken. There is time to turn it around.

Right now I'd rather have the pics and higher scoring from last year.
Amazing what Kellen was able to do....with this cast of clowns. Prescott is a fraud....and soon the finger pointing will begin. Who will be added to the body count?

Losing Diggs was huge. But having said that, losing Brown and Lewis were last year as well.

The weapons on offense seem to be still just Lamb and TP. Mike has to try to get Turp, Cooks, and Tolbert involved more or it will be our undoing….

I think we’re pretty much about the same. We’ll win 10-12 games, and maybe a playoff game but won’t make the NFC conference championship. We were on the brink of being a championship caliber team last year and the moves of Gilmore and Cooks does not seem to have put us over the top. I guess we try again next year. Cowboys!

The decline of Michael Gallup seems alarming. Prescott completed every pass to Lamb and Cooks vs Chargers but only 3 of 10 passes to Gallup.

This is a situational picture that probably improves a ton over the next 4 weeks. This added to expansion along with that of the running game because of improvements with the offensive line, then momentums will up the Cowboys game quite a bit.

I don't for a minute this is when I wish upon a star stuff...sorry.

Lamb as the only real producer at receiving pass will improve quite a bit.

Watching broken down Zeke run for 2 ypc up the gut was awful. Pollard ain't much better but I can at least hope he breaks a long run or something.

It’s a fair question, but I don’t see how we really know the answer to this only 6 games in. However, I do see some signs in this team that concern me that I wasn’t as concerned about last year.

Like this year’s offense having a lack of a running game, and having few weapons outside of Cedee Lamb. Can they fix it before it’s an even bigger problem? We have to hope so because this offense as it is now is not going to be good enough for a deep playoff run.

In other words if we don’t get some fixes or a talent infusion through a trade, I don’t see the 2023 team as good as the 2022 team.

Well said. Really not much difference.

The player we're missing the most by a large margin is Schultz. What's strange is that even after seeing it, the Schultz haters are denying it. Seriously, how in the world can people underrate the ability to get open? It's what any receiver does to play at a high level. You really think they just throw it up for grabs to Kupp and Kelce and Chase? I mean, seriously.
