Are we better than last year?

We have more talent this year but our play calling / scheme has made our O worse.

Weird how much coaching matters.

This year: 67% win percentage, +9 / game margin
Last year: 71% win percentage, +7.4 / game margin

I would say this is pretty much the same team. Offense worse but with less turnovers, defense better.

We were definitely better last year. Our offense could score, Pollard was a threat, the defense was getting sacks and turnovers, and the team at least looked competent.

I mean, we went into SF in the playoffs and at least stood toe-to-toe with them last season. This year we went there and got bent over their knee and spanked by them. Says a lot to me right there.

This years offense is broken. There is time to turn it around.

Right now I'd rather have the pics and higher scoring from last year.

I cannot help but keep imagining the deep shots to WR Brandin cooks in a Kellen offense
That's why you make the trade for one of the game's speed WRs.

The vertical, push the ball game is just Not a staple in the McCarthy Dink n Dunk Tex-Coast offense.
It's so painful to watch.

I think the quarterback position has regressed.

I noticed his sky points this year are more towards the horizon.

The whole team is a disappointment. The Offense, the Defense all look like trash. The safeties which were a strength last year, look horrible. The additions to the Offense with Cooks have been a bust. Might be because of the scheme. Who knows but it seems to me last years team was tougher minded and even with Clifford Franklin catching passes the offense was able to score. MM is going to go down with this offense I think.

I said last year, mainly because we have no running game this year. IMO we were definitely better with Zeke.

I think it’s really hard to tell at this point. Good question but this season has been tough to read. Defense looked amazing early. Offense had its moments. Very up and down. Remember that Tampa stinker last year? I will say they are definitely better at Kicker. Other than that need a few more weeks.

I would say we're marginally better this year, but by the thinnest of margins....
