Are we better than last year?

Which Cowboys team was better?

Maybe a more talented team but MM is a downgrade from Kellen Moore. Offense is less explosive. They keep running Pollard inside. Can’t get Cooks involved. No pre snap motion. Not enough roll outs for Dak. He’s mediocre in the pocket. Need a more modern offensive coach and system.

So about two thirds of the fans think this year's team is worse than the 2022 team that wasn't good enough either yet the owner feels really comfortable with standing pat at the trade deadline.

So we come full circle, we aren't as good as last year and already suffered a defeat which may indicate we aren't the team we all hoped/believed in pre-seaon.
Week 9 will be the watershed game on where we stand.
At the moment there may be too many questions to make that/those tradeline deals.

You should try reading more. You might avoid saying things like Carlos Watkins was more important than we realize.
You should study the English language and it's usage more. You might gain an understanding into the variances of thought and such. You might even understand inflection, irony, context, psychology, stuff like that.

Go back to saying snarky stuff, you're really bad at anything else.

Losing Diggs is the real killer...was always possible of a turnover with him. Now???? Teams are starting to figure out Gilmore is a shell of himself...
Yup. I had high hopes for both Gilmore and Cooks but either they are both losing a step or this team is hampering them….it got to be one or the other.

They were both signed as complementary players. Gilmore was fine when he was the #2 CB, which is what he clearly is at this stage of his career.

Cooks? I have no idea.

That’s a good point. I remember #4 making Terrance Williams go invisible in 2016 so it could be more to it than Cooks declining in skills.

I think he's the 3rd option. As such, mostly as the QB is going through his reads, they don't get to him. Maybe they're having run the wrong routes, maybe he should be the slot guy, I really can't say on this one. However, since he's been productive everywhere he's been, I simply doubt that his lack of production is on him.

I think the defense is better (with Diggs), but the offense isn’t as good (yet?).

Cooks is only going to get the ball if he lines up at TE. The security blanket for our guy.

Not even close. Last year’s offense was good. This year’s is awful. Last year’s defense was very good. This year’s started off dominant but has looked mediocre lately.
