Are we better than last year?

Which Cowboys team was better?

2022, for sure.

Zeke was jettisoned (for primarily financial reasons), with no viable replacement to fill-out a 1-2 punch at RB.

Receiving corps might be a wash.

Better TE play last year; Schultz...with his hands & knack of getting open...is missed.

Better offensive production last year (and O-line play).

Defense may be down a bit this year, due to Diggs' injury, and the fact that opposing offenses have had time to scheme for Parsons.

Can't think of an area where this year's model is better than last year's? Except for that Dak is (so far) taking better care of the ball.

Same, better defense, worse offense which will lead to the same results. Wash, rinse and repeat….
I’m not sure the defense is better. Last year at this time we were getting more sacks. We were challenging the all-time sack record at one point.

Last year’s team was better especially the offense. The defense isn’t as good without Diggs. LVE will be another big loss if he can’t return. Our pass rush hasn’t been as ferocious as last year’s at least not at this time as last year.

I’d have to go with last year. The offense isn’t as productive and the defense lost Diggs. The STs are improved with Aubrey. But overall I think we were better last year. That’s the bad news. Good news is we can improve in a lot of ways this year and we still have a competitive record at 4-2.

Defensively we're allowing only 16 points per game.
So Defensively this team is better.
Our total offense has dropped to 16th, they've got to step up.
We should beat the rams if not we won't make the playoffs.

We went 4-1 with Cooper Rush last year.

The 4-1 Cooper Rush led Cowboys would beat the 2023 Cowboys.

Really hard to say at this point. As a full season of 2022 compared to 2023 and 6 games.
I still voted 2022. Because the team looked much more crisp. Especially moving the ball and scoring.

I do believe they miss Zeke or a player similar in the red zone.

I think they are pretty close to the same but ill go with 2022. I think Mccarthy has taken this offense a step back. I think the recieving corps is better but the coach cant use them right. I think the line is worse and the defense is the same maybe a touch worse in the secondary with no diggs.

Amazing what Kellen was able to do....with this cast of clowns. Prescott is a fraud....and soon the finger pointing will begin. Who will be added to the body count?

Yeah Kellen and his new team are really something. I can't believe he's even treading water with the cast of clowns in LA.

Wasn't he our next great qb? Lol

Just think, Sunday night we get to see the Chargers and Bears play.....

Depends on what you mean by team. The collective talent of players? 2023. As soon as you add in the play caller and offensive scheme they are asked to operate in….2022

I actually think the roster is better in 2023, but the 2022 team was better. They did not get blown out by anyone last year.

The offense was better last year even with the extra turnovers. The defense was better last year too. The irony is that this year both sides of the ball have better talent (Cooks and Gilmore). The thing is I think the players we would “count” on have declined even more (O-line) due to age, injury etc.

Maybe Carlos Watkins meant more to the D than we thought. While he wasn't great, he was solid.
