Are we going to be seeing a lot more of Dak running?

Rushing QB’s have a limited shelf life in NFL. While agree it opened up our offense and creates havoc for defenses it won’t last long.

Maybe we have realized Dak isn’t our long time answer and might as well get all we can while we can. I’m ok with that . Good strategy !!
Let's see how long he can last... We win when he runs.

If he challenges DB and LB instead of getting down or out of bounds then sure. However as Cam Newton said he has taken bigger shots by staying in the pocket then when he is on the move. If Dak can play his game and continue to work on areas of weakness then who is too say how long he can play?

I absolutely loved Dak taking off and running last night. That made the difference and won us the game. Looked a lot like he picked up something from watching Cam in week 1.

Do you think this is a new dynamic we are going to add to our offense?

As long as we have Swaim out there playing every snapcount 110 he better be running to make up for swaims LOST PRODUCTION

The read option is very helpful for Zeke since he is the focus of the defense. Pretty soon Dak is going to be less successful with it, but it will make a bit more room for Zeke so you have to keep doing it, if Dak can't make plays with his arm to take pressure off of Zeke that way.

We should see Dak running the ball a minimum of 5 times per game, however, according to Stephen Jones, he doesn't want to see Dak running the ball as a staple of this offense.

Cowboys need to make decision this year on how they see Dak. Clearly trying to make him Aikaman & Romo in the pocket isn't working. But if they run him alot they know he will get banged around alot (he is not built like Cam Newton who is tank). It will play out.
Cam is listed 6'5" and 245 pounds.
Dak is listed 6"2" and 235 pounds.

Dak is a very thickly built QB and if you want to put 10 pounds on him to absorb hits more easily you could.

Like Russell Wilson, you can use the threat of the run to open up the playbook and let him develop into a more classic passer as he ages.

You don't have to avoid what he does best right now in a hard-headed attempt to make him something else this season.

If he can't take hits and is injured you want to find out while he is on this rookie deal.

The Cam comparisons make sense in that the defense was built up and the offensive side is pretty bleh around the QB.
Yet that team still makes the playoffs most seasons which is what you are trying to do.

100000000% agreed.

Dak is a mobile QB. We shouldn't try to turn him into Brees, Aikman, or Rodgers. Dak can win games when he is Dak.

those numbers are off little bit. Cam is closer to 255 and Dak is closer to 229. Remember Dak loss weight this off-season when he said he cut out the fast food. Still thick build but I don't think Dak will hold up like Cam has.

Cam is wearing down too.
