And everyone seems to forget that we were on our way to thrashing the Panthers until Owens went out. We were on our way to 450 yards of offense and 30+ points. Each game is different of course.
It is not a good thing when the absence of one player leads to a near total offensive collapse.

Historically, we have had this problem. Remember how we played when Emmitt wasn't in the lineup. As talented as those 90s teams were, nobody seemed to step up without #22 in the lineup. I hope we have TO's services in the postseason. If not, it's hard to believe that we can't have success if Romo, Witten, Crayton, Barber and the O-line are on, not to mention our pass rush which sometimes comes to life (consistency needed there).

Today's game was odd. The running backs combined for 1 yard. Even Folk missed a 28 yarder:eek:: . I hope they got all of the sloppy stuff out of their system. The playoffs really are a new season.

3-1???

Right

...and the Eagles didn't kick our arse?
The Eagles won by four points. If Romo didn't injure his thumb, the Cowboys would have killed them. We play on bad game against a desperate team without several key starters and it's time to jump off the nearest skyscraper?

None of the big four are exactly playing lights out right now. The Pats barely beat Philly led by a backup, squeak by a pathetic Baltimore team, struggle against a really bad Jets team, and beat a Giants team with nothing to play for. Green Bay struggles in the first half against a pathetic Lambs team until finally pooring it on in the second half. Green Bay also gets crushed by a really bad Bears team. None of the teams the Cowboys played in December were as pathetic as the Bears. Indy just lost to the Titans. My guess is most of these teams want to win, but they don't want to show too much before the playoffs begin.

The Cowboys' coaches showed a very vanilla offense and defense and held out some key starters. I'm not ready to hit the panic button just yet.
