Are we tied to the Cleveland Browns this year?

I think this would be a terrible place to expect that to happen. When you are the (extremely publicized) pet cat of the team owner and GM, all accountability goes out the window. And this organization is already pretty much famous for turning a blind eye to bad behavior. I mean what's Jerry going to do, scold him for public drinking while he slurps down another Johnny Walker on the team party bus?

I don't believe this ends well if Manziel winds up here.

Agree to disagree. Whatever it is on the field Manziel has it. He needs mature there is no doubt, but I still think he will be successful. If he came here, I think the Cowboys have the proper people on staff to save him from himself until he matures.

The Browns could also decide they would rather look at a QB in the top of the 2nd and go BPA with Tunsil. They have failed miserably with first round QB's and may decide to take another route.

It's possible, but that sounds more like wishful thinking from Cowboys fans than anything else.

I think that if they clean house, they really clean house. And one if the first thing new regimes do is to get 'their guy' at quarterback, for better or worse.

I don't see where that was ever said, but feel free to infer it if you want. But if you're looking to make the case that the man has no input, I'd be interested in reading that.

people make that statement on this forum its a fairly frequent comment against the uninformed

Dallas will not trade fro JF...I say Dallas, as Jerry will be gagged and bound in the first round of the draft....or be sent out for pizza. Or better yet, his JWB bottles will be hidden, and he and Spaulding will be on an Easter Drink Hunt and out of the war room.

We joke about this, but I really hope someone roofies his drink, and he passes out and misses the first 2 rounds. Go nigh-nigh, Jerrel!

This is at least the third thread this season lumping the Cowboys and Browns together. If that doesn't tell you what a miserable season it's been nothing will.

You could tell last season was going great with all the threads comparing the 2014 team with the 90s Cowboys. This year it's been nothing but comparisons with the Browns. lol

To answer your question would just be a guess. No one person carries more than 50% of the vote. Not even Jerry.

Okay. I agree. I am not sure who is making the calls either but many wanted to credit Garrett with roster decisions. I admit I do not know.

Or go with Bosa or even Treadwell to give whatever QB they end up with an actual weapon. I still think if the Browns take a QB, it's Lynch anyways.

If somehow we draft in front of Cleveland, I'd offer to swap picks and a future 5th to Cleveland for their spot + Manziel- then draft a QB in a later round in additon to the Manziel acquisition. The QB situation needs fixing and fast. Manziel can win with good talent around him and he's similar to Romo in play style. Maybe he can mature in Dallas because the spotlight will not allow for mishaps.

Im on the Johnny football bandwagon. Always have been. Kid has game and is a playmaker.

Honestly dont think there would be a better person for him to learn from than Romo.

BIG stretch of logic. JM has to be willing and able to be mentored. Is he? I doubt it.
