Are you glad we didn't get P. Lynch?

Well I agree with you to an extent.People say oh we will never be that high again.Sure we will.We will be the Rams here giving up a ransom but we will get in it when we have too soon.

It's time to start exploring options annually in the draft until we find our next field general. Perhaps that's Hackenberg.

I agree. Take a quarterback every year, but clearly the price for the pick was too high. Maybe it is Hackenberg. If you take him with a 3 or 4, you're doing just fine.

Denver has a much bigger QB need than us and traded up for him. We tried to trade up for him.

To me, he will be the best QB in this class in two years.

Those saying he will be a bust may have severly misevaluated.

I think Lynch has as much chance to succeed as any QB in the draft. They are all suspect, and several could make it...just as easily, all could be journeymen at most.

However, even if Wentz or Goff were there, I'd still be happy we didn't give up prime picks for question marks at a position that will be on the bench 2-3 years.

I wanted him, but I'm not devastated that we didn't get him.

He wouldn't be a factor for a year or two. Just stay away from any QB at 34 now. Draft defense.

Broncos can roll out a corpse at QB, and still battle it out for a win.

I'll tell you after I see what we do with picks 34 and 67.

If they get two great prospects, then I'll be pretty happy.
If....

If a QB isn't smart I'm very leary of him. So while Lynch has a shot to be pretty good, I don't think the odds are as good as you'd like for a 1st rounder. Physical attributes can only get you so far at QB. If we could have gotten him with 2nd round pick only, I'd feel okay with the gamble. Giving up multiple high picks though - no.

Looking forward to getting a high quality defender or two tomorrow.

I feel like we dodged a bullet there.

We were offering our 2nd & 3rd round pick for that guy. We desperately need defenders and since we didn't get Wentz or Goff i'd rather just sell out on winning now.

Thank you Denver!

That's one way of looking at it. I did want lynch but I'm digging your clouds' blue and silver lining.

Yes sell out now on Romo if he gets hurt again we'll have another top 5 pick next year and the year after and the year after. Plenty of opportunities to pick a franchise QB in the coming years if Romo breaks again

If we were offering our 2nd and 3rd round picks, trade value chart says:
34th pick - 560 pts.
67th pick - 255 pts
Total = 815

Denver gave up
31st pick - 600 pts.
94th pick - 124 pts.
Total = 724

I know the chart isn't really used by all teams the same way, but we gave 91 points more, which equates to a high 4th round pick. Since Denver got the pick, I suspect we were offering our 2nd and 4th.

WE should've tried to get Wentz if we wanted a QB. The time for giving up premium picks should've ended there.

I'd like to see us get Hackenberg. He's had pro coaching, he's good at adjusting pre-snap, and he has all the physical tools.

He needs work but his upside is high.

After Romo is done we just pick a new QB in that years draft ....... i assure you when Romo is done we will have a high draft pick if not the number one.

Really, I would be really concerned that John Elway, and Kubiak jumped ahead of me to draft a QB prospect. Think those two know a little something about QBs?

Myself I liked Paxton Lynch and still do. However not going to cry over spilled milk. As for picking up a QB before the end of the draft I will just say Dallas brought a lot in and worked them out so if they do choose a QB at least they should have a lot of info to base it on.

I don't know , who has Elway drafted? Tim Tebow? they signed Manning but can't give credit there. Same with Kubiak when in Houston who did they have who did anything?

I can't envision a scenario where Dallas is a contender. Shame the QB board fell like it did.

QB should be top priority. At least their offer to trade up shows they're not totally blind to the fact that Romo is on his last legs.

Oh, Jerry will just wait till next year to draft a legitimate QB prospect. Wash, rinse, repeat...

Once we took Zeke we went into win now mode.

It would've been dumb to just add Zeke and go into next season with our roster as is.

I am so glad we get to add to the current team now.

Different year, different reason why Jerry refuse to address the QB position.

I just don't like Lynch as a prospect so I have no problem with him not addressing it.

The time to address it ended when we let Philly and the Rams move ahead of us.
