Are you glad we didn't get P. Lynch?

He drafted Osweiler. Tebow was pre-Elway.

Right. And lost him. Brilliant move.

Which makes their signing Lynch more desperate, but with the wrong piece to that puzzle.

There is no guarantee whatsoever that guy ends up playing at a high level.

I'm glad we saved our picks, and get more shots at quality players. We'll take a QB that our staff likes, and see how it plays out.

Romo will play for 3 more years, especially since we signed the best blocking RB that some have ever seen.

For all those who hate the Zeke pick, you better not watch the games, 'cause you're gonna have a hard time hiding that big smile on your face.

Oh, and if some of you hate him and the FO so much that his success just makes you angry, then you really need to find another team.

I think even the biggest Paxton Lynch supporters have to admit that trading our 2nd and 3rd for the guy would've been a disaster

If you think Lynch can develop into a genuine franchise QB then a 2nd and 3rd is a small price to pay.

Hell is not like we've lit it up with our 2nd round picks these past few years.

It was a great day as Jerry was apparently saved from himself burning the first two days of the draft on luxury offensive players. It's too bad, because unlike stupidly burning the #4 pick on a clipboard holder I definitely could live with paying that clipboard holder the 26th pick salary slot. But after taking Zeke first, it would be inexcusable to not look at defenders in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

I like Lynch more than Goff and Wentz.

I'm glad we didn't grab him though.

I'll take Miles Jack at 34.

I was super disappointed we weren't able to trade up to get him, but I have to agree that our 2nd and 3rd would have been too much if they're both picks from this year. Our 2nd this year and our 3rd next year (or vice versa) I could have lived with.

How is using a draft pick on a guy who can't play "doing fine"?

How is doing nothing better? I keep seeing people say we should draft a LB with knee issues, or dope smokers. How's that different?.....

Outside of the knee injury Miles Jack scares me at 6'01" 225 LB that is small. heck Sean Lee is bigger than that and I consider him on the light side. I could actually see Jack be a player like Darren Woodson who played LB in college and moved to the safety spot if he stays at LB he will need to add some weight. They compare him to Navorro Bowman yet Bowman is at 245

Here's what happened apparently.

Dallas went after Lynch pretty hard, but the Seahawks didn't want to trade out of the first round. They wanted that 5th year on the contract, so they took Denver's lesser offer.

I was intrigued by Lynch, but his reputation for being a bit dumb bothered me. NFL quarterbacks can be a lot of things, but dumb isn't one of them, and he doesn't look to have the freelancing ability of Brett Farve.

Jack is a kid. He'll put on weight.

I disagree just because they wouldn't have to trade back far and they would still get picks.

Would they have taken more to move back more like they did? Probably.. But they just as easily could've liked the idea of getting a top 2 position player in this draft plus a 2nd and 3rd.

Also, Jerry said he would've sweetened the deal for Lynch had he known Denvers offer so he could've very well done the same for Wentz or Goff.

Titans and Browns actions in the first round made it clear that they were fine drafting after 4. Particularly the Browns. And it would have cost the Boys #4, a 2nd, and presumably a 2017 first at minimum to get the premier QB in the draft. Titans weren't doing a deal for a 2nd and 3rd.

Everyone cries on here that Sean Lee is injury prone and then a lot of you want to take Jack @ 34? You kidding me?!

He might need MICRO FRACTURE surgery very shortly. Forget the "value" at 34....if he isn't on the field, there is no value there. Good grief...

Well, they liked Lynch for sure. Yeah, I'm a little disappointed, especially after hearing Stephen talk about Romo and 5 years just like his senile, JWB swilling old man. I can't beleive how close minded they are on the most important position on the field. They rarely draft qbs, they act like Romo is 28 and injury free. Romo is also treated like a multiple SB winner. I love the guy, terrific qb, but fact remains he's won 2 career playoff games. Dude is the teflon qb with the head coach and FO. Hope he proves me dead wrong in the next 2 years.

Woodson was a kid he was moved to safety. I think with Jack year one is a wash just as if was with Gregory. Don't get me wrong I think Gregory will develop into a good player if he can stay clean but it was not hard to see that NFL OT were not having a lot of issue taking on an undersized DE, some of these OT in the NFL are great and speed rushing is not going to work vs these guys.

I'm just not as enthused with Jack as others are. I think there are some prospect out there who will be more impactful day 1

I feel like we dodged a bullet there.

We were offering our 2nd & 3rd round pick for that guy. We desperately need defenders and since we didn't get Wentz or Goff i'd rather just sell out on winning now.

Thank you Denver!

I am happy.

first of all trading away first to third round picks is the worst thing to do. Stockpiling 1-3 round picks is the way to an successful draft.

That said i dont like Lynch anyway. Thats 2 good reasons to be happy that we did not get him.

I'm secretly happy. I was never really high on him but was admittedly resigned to thinking we would pick him up somehow someway. I still think Hackenberg is going to be very good in someone's system after getting 2 to 3 years to sit & learn.

I missed seeing your avatar
