but we could have had Holland or Grant if that was the case

we just ignored the position and that idiot Stephen made a joke about it during the PC which shows us their mindset
On paper, yeah I agree. Nobody on this forum wanted Grant (I’ve met him personally and am close with the UCF program) or Holland!

I do believe though, Quinn is happy with Kazee and is comfortable with his health. Izzy can be groomed to be the future FS.

It’s obvious this team just doesn’t want to draft a FS. I’m just stoked we got a big boy at 1 tech now

at first, No after extensive research and reading feedback on the guy , he seems to have to potential to be the bookend to Diggs on the other side..they have similar games..

odd though looking over the draft , how many of those Kentucky defenders went off that team? many seems like they may have had said core of players that were somewhat unknown to a lot of people..weve seen that relatively unknown small school player types end up with great careers. Just because we weren't aware doesnt make it bad pick.

this goes for our entire draft, who cares about draft board rankings and media breakdowns, coaches and scouts have far more insight into players and build their board accordingly. They dont need to follow the fan bible which are mocks..

if they did that HIF players would never be chosen later rounds or UDFAs which i saw a crazy stat the other day

there are 17 UDFAS in the HOF comparted to 14 first overall selections..

odd isnt it.??

KJ was the 4th rated CB on most boards unbeknownst to me as ive never really heard of the guy..

He looked very good against Devonte Smith and also had a pick. Hopefully that continues seeing him twice a year.

we got the 3rd best cb in the draft without having to move.

Caleb Farley would have a word with you but he's currently suffering through the late stages of AIDS.
I discounted him because I'm very concerned with his injuries and if he'll ever be healthy.

Surtain has the least upside of the bunch but he is so sound he could end up being the best.

heck ya ! Not a big gap between the top and him. My only concern would be is he committed to football with his Rap career. Maybe its a nothing burger and he can be successful at both . There's no denying he's talented

Yes, he has a legit shot to start. With him and Diggs, those spots can be anchored for a long time. 1st time since Deion and Smith / Brown.

Because athletically hes a freak. Hes a rsw prospect that has already flashed playmaking ability in zone and man coverage. Held de smith to 0 catches and had an int in man against him. The kid has that swaggu u want from an outside corner that wont back down and is a dog. O and the ball skills 4 ints in 9 games

Nope, I'm not sure that Kelvin Joseph even likes playing football.
He seems to be more into the Music scene.
If he was dedicated and wanted to be great, he has the talent to be in the conversation with Surtain, Horn and Farley as the top corner in the class.

I have to vote no on this pick, but I loved the draft as a whole.

My issue is that he seems to be the 7th-11th best CB in the draft based on all the pre-draft rankings.

It looks like a massive reach.

I think the coaches should follow their convictions and not the pre-draft rankings, but I am concerned.

I know you can't trade back on demand, but I question if he could have been had later on. And I question if Asante Samuel would have just been the better pick.

I would have preferred they get Surtain or Horn at 10 but Joseph was a good pick under the circumstances.

I think Joseph will play better than Awuzie, Lewis, and Brown ever did.

Joseph seems to have as much talent as Diggs. And Diggs was the best CB in the 2020 draft. Everyone’s 10-year starter, future All-Pro, shut down CB Okudah was a putrid pile of stinking garbage last year. Go figure.

Who knows what Surtain or Horn will do. Farley had back surgery and Moehrig might need back surgery.

Should have traded up to get our FS.
This is not revisionist history, I was saying all morning that we need to trade up and get our FS
If all else fails we had Kazee to play FS. If all else failed we have Anthony Brown playing CB2. I know which combination I'd prefer.
This draft needs to be looked at in light of the Compete Now needs and what we've already got on the roster.
