Brady Quinn Charging to Sign Autographs

Cleveland Browns first round draft pick, Quarterback Brady Quinn must hate his fans. He was at mall in Ohio Saturday for an autograph signing — But it wasn’t free like you may expect.

The price to have Quinn’s signature was $75 for a picture and over $200 for other merchandise. And if you brought your own item for Mr. Quinn to sign, he would refuse.

Who does this guy think he is? He has yet to take a snap in the NFL, and when he does, he’ll suck.

Maybe that explains everything; Quinn knows he will be a horrible NFL QB so he’s trying to make as much money as possible without even completing one NFL pass.

Guys like this make me wanna puke.

He thinks WAAAY too highly of himself, which is a good thing if you KEEP it to yourself.

Tell him to get rid of the shovel and get a backhoe. He's already digging himself a huge hole, might as well do it right. LOL

Some of the Cleveland faithful are a little worried as well, judging by a look at their boards. It will be interesting to see if Thomas or Quinn signs first; each may be waiting on the other to set the bar.

:laugh2: What about the people that actually pay for his autograph? He's a dork IMO. Another Joey Sunshine wannabe...

I think you are getting half the story here. That's probably the price of whatever company is sponsering his appearance there to sign autographs. They pay him for appearing, then fans pay them the money to have the items signed. He is basically under cantract and is not allowed to sign for free at this appearance. This is happens all the time with many athletes.

The thing about autographs is this...The players know that people are hoping to go and sell them on Ebay. Now not everyone but a bunch of them. So they figure, they will get their cut up front.

I don't agree with this thinking but that is what many of the players think. The truth is that until they actually do something big like, I don't know, maybe sign their contract at least, they really are nothing more than wannabes

So he couldn't hook up with one of the mall businesses and sign for free?

Those kinds of guys you laugh at when they fall flat on their face, that's why I was chuckling when he fell that far in the draft!

I do agree with the thinking. Why does he owe it to anybody to hand out free cash?

I hear what your saying, but to me he is already getting paid pretty good to play in the NFL and that is part of the baggage that comes along with being a professional athlete. Charging a little kid $75 for your autograph sends a terrible message in my opinion.

What a POS...I also just decided I dont like this player. he thinks way to highly of Himslef. him and Winslow in the same page. Poor Browns, they will always suck.
