Who knows if he'll really sign there, but this is why you can't count out the Eagles. They still have a good coach, a good QB, and plenty of cap space. This past rare bad year may have convinced them that they can't cheap out forever and continue to field good teams... IMO all they need is a true workhorse RB and, defensive lineman or two, and an upgrade at LB to be really good again...

All we need is an Eagles squad with a running game.

It sucks playing in the toughest division in football now.

Fraley was injured last year; uncertain what was the extent of his injury(ies). In light of the [alleged] media information about Bentley, the Eagles may have some intel that we are not privleged to have.

Looking at a possible Bentley acquisition it does seem to denote development of a running Eagle strategy. Fantastic news for what may turn out to become a new modified WCO.

Of course this is all conjecture ...I've even heard the Eagles are interested in Randle El (Pittsburgh, WR).

I'm Interested in finding out the basis of your claim. I'm sure you know that last year's performance of any franchise does not necessarily denote current year performance. That said, I'd like to know what makes you say the Eaqles will win the NFCE in 2006.

At first I was against the signing of both Jason Fabini and Mawae. I am begging to come around though. If Mawae and Fabini are signed cheaply their roles should be as backups. Give Rogers another chance of win the RT job. He is extremely talented and could probably perform as well as any rookie tackle we draft. If he quits again, than Fabini could take over the RT job. As for Mawae, hopefully Al gets a little stronger. If he is still getting blown up than Mawae should start. These guys would allow us to stand pat on the Oline without screwing up our season. Instead of drafting a tackle we could take a talented guard like Guilles or Lutui instead.

I have a bad feeling that the Eagles are going to spend some money this year. Bentley is looking like a done deal, and my gut tells me that Philly will probably get Howard and bid on Glover as well.

Are we really going to be upset with the Eagles? All teams are guilty of tampering. Aaron Glenn signed immediately with the Cowboys upon his release. It usually takes 2 or three days to iron out a contract, so somebody was obviously talking to Glenn before he was cut.

Neo, it was reported that Howard was interested in signing with the Eagles. The Eagles according to Adam Schefter "might be interested" in bringing Howard in. That's all that was said. I'm taking that as more interest on Howard's end, opposed to Philly.
