We had the biggest fanbase prior to last Sunday's game and certainly still do now. How is that being fairweather?

We're fair-weathered? We have more mebers here at the zone during non-playoff seasons every year than the Eagles can get to come out out to their stadium for games.

Maybe some fans should not have thrown in the towel on this team when things were not looking so great. I don't agree with the artical but I do know that some were not giving this team a chance in hell just a few weeks back and did nothing but mock players and coaches.

A 13 year drought will do that.

Fair-weather?? I live in Cleveland and I have to deal with family and friends always talking stuff about the December collapse etc. I don't know that many people in Cleveland that are Cowboys fans! It feels like it's me against the whole city!! I'm so loyal.....I was working at a bank years ago and we had a company party at the Cleveland Browns Stadium. It was in their huge party room and I went there decked out in my Cowboys gear and I got dirty looks all night but I didn't care! Like a previous poster said the Zone has more members in a non-playoff season than most teams have in a Super Bowl season!!

But this team was not responsible for all of those 13 years. I understand frustration I'm human what I did not get is how in a 16 game season how some were so quick to throw up their hands and gave up on this team. There was nothing wrong with people saying what this player or that player needed to improve on or disagreeing with a call by the coaches but some of the comments were overboard. I'm not going to spend time naming names those folks know who they are.

That's true, but like most every major sports team you're going to have the fans who are fair-weathered and the ones who will be there for their team through thick and thin. I've only been around 18 years, but I'm from San Antonio and my dad taught me as a young child that I would love the Dallas Cowboys. Quincy Carter, Chad Hutchinson, Vinny Testaverde, I put just as much faith into every one of them as a Colts fan would put into Peyton Manning. He can say some fans are fair-weathered, but don't generalize us!

We DO have a lot of fairweather, bandwaggon fans, but I doubt the percentage of which is any different for any other successful team in a given year. Not that this guy is hiding it by any means, but all I got from this article is 'we never had our chance to brag'. Dallas was in the cellar for much of the aughts, while Philly dominated but never cashed in their tickets for the Lombardi. This article just illustrates the fan fear of seeing a shift in power.

As I said I don't agree with the write up in general and whatever label you want to put on people who tend to throw in the towel at the 1st sign of trouble be my guest. It is funny many of them had no issue throwing labels at others but do not like the labels placed on themselves.

I think this team with these players and coaches have had to carry a bit of an unfair burden on failures of the past. Some of they had nothing to do with

I fully expected this year to have it share of ups and downs after all most seasons do have ups and down but as long as we were in the running there was no reason to attack players and coaches as some did or give up on this team.

Nah I was directing that more to the Philly Inquirer than what you said. I'll agree in that there are a lot of people who give up on their team quickly, I just don't like the way whoever wrote that for the Inquirer said it.

the team's miserable fair-weather fans will begin slithering out from their hiding places like filthy, front-running cockroaches

I'm am soooooo sick of this bull****. I have to hear it from local media and fans on messages boards.Never to my face mind you.
The Cowboys are America's Team and have more fans all over the country. Get the puck over it already.
It's as if these morons can't get it through their thick skull. That can't understand an area resident supporting anything but the local team.

It just won't compute, so they have to explain it away by labeling that person as less of a fan. As a Cowboy fan, I'm more aware of anyone in my immediate or extended circle who happens to be a Cowboy fan.

I can't name one person who stopped being a Cowboy fan for any reason.

Haha, I love seeing stuff like this. The Cowboys not only got into the Eagles heads but all of their fans and media. I don't get angry at this stuff, it just reaffirms the fact:

THE COWBOYS ARE BACK!!!

Aint that the truth. I love being a Cowboy fan in Philly when I'm not allowed to be......

See that's all I hear now. I not supposed to be Cowboy fan, how can you be a Cowboy fan or Why are you a Cowboy fan?

After 44-6 or 1989 it was ok to be a Cowboy fan. No problem. Now that the power has shifted to the Boys, it against all the rules.
