The best thing about sweeping Philly is the bitter rants from their fans and media

God yes.

One of my employees wore a Dallas shirt on Monday.

This guy has made fun of them for years now ...... took great joy in asking me how they did if they lost ..... and now claims to always have been a fan.

I should fire him ....... but he is married to my first cousin.

:D (and he is one of my best friends)

That's funny.

:laugh2:

Gonzo: Cowboys are back, and it's galling

It was sort of like walking in on your woman with another man - unexpected and awful. You recoiled and got angry (and maybe cried a little), and now you can't get the image out of your head. It's there when you close your eyes at night, mocking you.

***

Obviously, the former Mrs. Gonzalez has traumatized her ex-husband for life.

I hope that she ended up with more than half.

Oh. My bad. I thought he was referencing to his mother. Sheesh, am I dumb.

Anytime you have a team as popular as the Cowboys you will have fairweather fans. That's just the way it is.
Of course the Eagle fans wouldn't know this.
How many Patriot fairweather fans are jumping off of that sinking ship???
Philly fan and there media apparently, only see what they want to see.
When you get past the fairweather fans you see much more die hard fans who are with the team thru thick and thin.
I know Philly fan wants to patent the idea of thier fan base being so die hard and so much more of a true fan that what we have in Dallas. It's not true. Thier ignorance has blinded them into thinking that they actually accomplished something the whole time we did not win a playoff game.
If you don't have a ring then you ain't gotta thing!
Mcnabb's era of playing in Philly is the equivalent of the Danny White era in Dallas...close but no cigar.

You got that right. The negativity was so rampant that I avoided this site at times this year.

That is not being "fair weather".

Sure alot of us on this board were complaining when we saw bone-headed calls by Garrett (running the same freaking play 4 times in a row) or saw Wade with that "deer in the headlights" look as teams early in the season drove right down the field at the end of the game for a score (we had 4th Q leads on both Denver and the Giants early in the year and lost both and let the Cheifs tie the game to send it to OT with no time left).

We also saw players that were just not getting it done. Until the end of the season Newman was getting beat like a rented mule on a weekly basis, Spencer was always a step late, and our freaking kicker could not even kick an extra point.

Did die hard fans that live and die with each play complain about it??? Hell yes they did!!!! Now did they stop watching the games, stop caring about the team, stop posting on a message board??? Hell no!!!!

We waited 13 seasons without a single playoff win and yet most of us on this board have been members for years and years with thousands and thousands of posts. If we are fair weather, we would not have stuck around. We would all have become Colt fans or Patriot fans. The fact that most of us have watched every single game during this 13 year period and yet go to the games, go to training camp, and devote entire rooms of our homes to the Cowboys proves we are not "fair weather".

So much envy that transfers to hate.

I feel sad for those people in Philly who want to be like someone else and just cannot accept they will never be. But have not the power inside to life their own lifes.

I can't help but argue that the loud mouthed fairweather fans will definitely be in full swarming sting. I think I hate the fairweather and bangwagoners as much as I hate opposing fans. Generally speaking, they are loud and obnoxious and give us true fans the bad rep that we hear about from everyone else's fans.

They deserve it all. I love hearing them whine. Fair weather fans are fans in only their minds no one elses. A REAL FAN is a fan of the TEAM: not the players, owners, coaches. THE TEAM.

I have been a fan since 1972 and I live in NY. One of the worst days, of being a fan for me was when the giants knocked us out of the playoffs, in 2007, but you know what, the next day at work, I walked in wearing a Cowboy jacket and sweatshirt. This might sound crazy to some of you guys, but when our Boys lose, I make sure I will put on a Cowboy shirt or wear my Cowboy jacket and I feel proud doing it, showing everybody that I am with the Cowboys win or lose.:starspin They have been my team since 1972 and they will be my team till the day I die.
