I like the fact that Julius Jones didn't throw a player or coach under the bus.

As for his 10x better, that's just an appeal to the new town and new fans. I wouldn't read much more into it.

You must have forgotten the robotic running style comment.

That and I wouldn't doubt it that its true. The fans in Seattle are awesome. And I would love to get booed as a Dallas Cowboy coming out of the tunnel every week, that would be fun

Did you expect him to say.....

"I hate Seattle, I wish I was still in Dallas"

?

Nah, expecting him to say,

"I do in fact run like a robot. I gave excuses to the media, just like Marcus Spears and put the blame on Bill Parcell's system. In the offseason, I did not work on my footwork, I just lifted with my brother so we could get swoll in the arms. I was hoping to turn over a new leaf, but unfortunately, I still fall down on my first contact. What I meant to say is that it rains 10 times more here then in Dallas. I hope I don't get depressed."

Agreed. I always liked JuJones. I hope the best for him in Seattle. He needed a change.

Here's to him ripping up the yards in Seattle.

I think that Jones original statement was this, since the writer of the article was obviously confused...

Asked if there was a best part to his game, or whether the best was his ability to run, catch and block, Jones offered, "I suck. I am weak minded, and afraid of contact. It's all the stuff I can't do. I pride myself on being an every-down back on Madden 2008. I can block. I can run the ball. I can catch. So hopefully I'll get a chance to show that here, but reality is far different from a video game."

I agree. And who knows which JJ is going to show up. People with his talent don't come along everyday despite feelings around here. He was outperformed by MB this last year. But JJ has some good seasons. I wish him the best. Unless of course he plays Dallas.

Eh, I don't care if he gets 200 yards. As long as we win :)

Hey look lets overreact over one comment.... that will surely be the best course of action. To heck with thinking logically about a person's situation.

My point is that, Julius is excited about a fresh start, he's got a new team and a chance to try and make something of his career. I don't fault him at all for playing to the crowd. Like AtlCB said..... I'd say Seattle was 10x better too if I wasn't getting booed every time I touched the ball..... by the fans of the team I'm playing for.

He also said he was thankful for Dallas giving him a shot to play in the NFL.

He needed a fresh start, his time in Dallas was simply over and now I wish him the best of luck in Seattle.

Calm down. I'm only kidding. I could care less about JJ, just like he could care less about what I think about him.

I modelled my game after Cowboy great Troy Hambrick.

I bet he does just fine there. I'm not nearly as down on Julius as most people.

Nor am I.

The guy was essentially boo'd every home game during warmups. I found it awful and classless that it was happening.

I think he will have alot to say about the city of Dallas as the season rolls on and I dont expect one positive and I dont blame him. He was treated really poorly. The only guy since I have been here who was treated worse was vinny testaverde. I was flat out embarrassed by what people said and did to vinny. Then when he said his kids were being given a hard time in school etc...that really ticked me off.

anyway, Julius is a good back, just not a great one and there is nothing wrong with that. I am still confused as to why he was left on the bench against the giants the whole game though.

We have a potentially high draft pick coming if he does well. I hope he proves to be what we thought he was the end of his rookie year.

He wasn't terrible here. Wasn't a bad guy to have on the team for sure. I wish him well.

Agreed, Ice. I hope he can finally showcase his abilities. We saw it here, firsthand, what he's capable of.

It's not like JJ went to an NFCE rival-IOW, I can actually root for him in Seattle next year.

I hope he does well-he just got off on the wrong foot back in '04 whether it was injury or just poor game-planning by Parcells. And then '05 was an injured-plagued year for him, only to have the emergence of MB3.

With that being said-I hope Seattle will be a fresh start for him.

Man some people have some serious man hate issues on JJ right now.

Did he live up to the potential? No

Did he back up what he was gonna say? No

But the way he was treated while a cowboy was embrassing, and classless by cowboy fans. He's left to a new city and a new team, and is still be dogged and i don't know why

He lead the cowboys to two playoff seasons while he was here, and performed great in one, and left to rot in the other. And yet at the end of the game we didn't lose because of him. You might not like his game, but he did not give up on this team, and he tried everytime he got the ball.

I wish him the best of luck, and hope he has great games in seattle (except when he plays dallas of course)

FWIW-one of our OL's biggest weakness is blocking on screen passes.(which also happens to be one of Julius' big strengths) As big and massive as we are, we just don't seem athletic enough(or for that matter, maybe Sporano's schemes and philosophies had alot to do with it).

Even without Steve Hutchinson, the Hawks are nonetheless very good on screen pass blocking(and for that matter too-thankfully, Julius didn't go to Philly). I'm sure Mike Holmgren will be able to utilize his strengths OK there.
