As in 2009, Felix Jones underutilized

(By the way, I meant 2008). As in 2008, RB Felix Jones is averaging nine yards per carry. That is NOT a typo. In 2008, Jones averaged 8.9 yards every time he carried the football. This year, he is slightly better with a 9.1 average. He has carried the ball a total of 13 times the past two games, for a total of 118 yards. If he were to tote the rock, say, 20 times a game, like most starters, he would be averaging 180 yds./game.

Bottom line, as much as I love the Barbarian, he was at his best closing games that Julius Jones started. FELIX is three times the RB Julius was, and he's running 6.5 times a game??! It's like, "Hello, is anyone home?".

Jason Garrett had the kind of offense every OC dreams of last night-A QB who's having a rough night, but an offensive line & RBs who are still gashing the other team all night. So, what does he do? Two or three series in a row in the second half, with Dallas in the lead, after 'only' getting 3-4 yards rushing on first down, he puts Romo in the shotgun on 2nd & 6, 2nd & 7. They did run out of it occasionally, but it still pretty much takes away the play action pass, which a great running game always creates.

Bottom line, Felix Jones is the greatest playmaker on this team. Failing to get him the ball 20-25 times a game is beyond comprehension. It cost them the opening game of their great new stadium, and it will continue to cost them until they figure out how to get their best player the ball.

Please no more forcing it to anyone.

MB3 was playing great last night ..... we missed out on nothing.

Didn't he fumble right after romo threw an int?

I think we used him pretty well last night and choice and now with barber hurt, you might see him and choice alot more

He can't stay healthy either and he's never going to see 20-25 touches...

You're right. Running the ball more than six and a half times a game with someone who is averaging 9 yds./carry with no fumbles would be forcing the ball. My bad.....:lmao2:

Can't stay healthy??! This is ONLY his second year, and he IS healthy this year.

You are so right. I was yelling all night to give the guy a handoff between the guards and sure enough he gets one and goes 60 yds. If he was touching it 20 times per game he would lead the NFL in rushing. He is that good. His chance for injury is no more then any other back in the league.

Thank you! Finally, a voice of reason. All I'm saying is that they MUST give a guy who has averaged NINE yards per carry since last season the ball more. And you're absolutely right, he has no more chance of getting injured than Barber, or the next guy. I hated to see my man Marian get hurt last night, but maybe they'll finally give Felix his starting opportunity this week, and he will show them he needs to be toting the rock just a bit more.

he played 5 games last year and than got hurt and missed the rest of the season.

he hurt his quad against Tampa this year and was cramping up last night.

Umm, did you watch the game yesterday?
Barber had 100+ yards and Felix had 90+...
I though the fact that a RB rotation was for sure (at least all the media made sure of it).
Where have you been?

If we had utilized him more maybe Romo would have thrown less INTs.

Nahh Garrett doesn't want to use Felix.....didn't you see Garrett call 3 pass plays in a row for a 3 and out yesterday.
