As Sunday approaches, your game-day menus please

Romo thows for 350 yards to cover for our anemic running game.
Then the buffet bell ring:

1. Brisket and ribs
2. Tortillas (flour, duh!)
3. Deer jerky
4. Tamales from the tortilleria
5. Homemade salsa and them blue corn chips
6. Pecan pie

(Ms. Busty will roux the day she left me!!!)

Your a ham !!!

She sure will, and I will put in a good word with Joely for you bud.
You are a walking Legend.

Now- MY menu for the day:

The temperature is already dropping here in El Paso so I'm ready for a Newcastle, or an Irish Red which feels intrinsically right for Football Season.
I like the portability and instant gratification of a pile of wings right in front of me, but I dislike chicken flesh just sitting there for hours so wings will be my First Half selection along with fried pickles and whatever else I decide to grab.

The second half?
Depends on the score.

If we are looking good:
Probably a Modelo as I would like to start lightening things up as we go- along with copious amounts of lime salt and probably tomato drinks interspersed. Fries (probably home made) will most likely be involved... to distribute the carbs and alcohol more evenly in the system, of course.

If we are looking bad...
I'm diving into the Scotch and I'm probably going to type some posts that the Mods will email me about before they delete and I will reply that I understand once I'm no longer in Hulk mode.

Same as every year...

I'm only coming to the buffett if Ms. Busty is there !!!

BBQ Ribs
Lemon Pepper Chicken Hind Quarters
Crockpot Charro Beans
Potato Salad
Macaroni & Cheese
Corn on the Cob
Garlic Cheddar Biscuits
Dr. Pepper or Sweet Tea

I think we half a winner. see there is no dishonesty in the corn, no deceit in the potatoes.

I don't make my own homemade BBQ sauce, but I am thinking of trying in the near future. I will be adding Root Beer to this batch to try it out. I actually want to perfect a Dr. Pepper sauce, cause that is my favorite drink.

I always steam my potatoes to maximize flavor and to keep all the healthy goodness inside, add some mayo, boiled eggs, green onions, dill pickle relish, yellow mustard, salt, and pepper......

As far as my beans.....pinto beans, some bacon, sausage, tomatoes, onions, jalapeno, cilantro, chili powder, paprika, comino, garlic powder, salt, pepper

Normally we are lazy with our mac and cheese, but on this day, we will make it homemade.....with various cheeses and such.

I don't know if I am looking more forward to the game or the food......LOL

Chili Con Queso
Brisket
Deer Sausage (Black Buck)
Red Beans and Rice
Potato Salad
Lone Star Beer

Airplane peanuts. (I am flying home Sunday). That said, I should make it home in time for the game.

No idea yet.

But whatever I'm having will include jalapeno poppers. Too bad my jalapeno crop sucked this year. Didn't get enough to last all season

The couple i planted didnt do well either, weird. Tomatos either.
Jalapenos are so cheap, not the end of the world

Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, chicken breast, mushrooms, spinach, mozzarella, Parmesan, and garlic French bread...

My tomatoes sucked too. Odd.

Yeah, its not the cost that is annoying. Just the idea that I spent the time and like to have a large supply on me for everything.

Oh well. Try again next year.

We usually make a lot of food but for Sunday night were just gonna keep it simple with some velveeta cheese dip with sage sausage mixed in. Usually I do not eat during the games though in less we are just blowing the other team away. I get a lot of grief and laughter from the people I watch the games with but I am a nervous watcher. From the time the game starts to the end my stomach is in knots and I don't eat anything. I can't be the only one can I? I usually eat before the game though.

I don't eat during the game but I sure do drink a lot.
