Asante Samuel

hey skins fan? do you ever go to the giants board......i mean does anyone?

i know u come to different Cowboys boards and even some Eagles boards....but do you ever go to the Giants boards?

I know on ESPN i rarely went to the Giants board and for such a big market team and for such a seemingly rabid and loyal fanbase, their board was always dead. I guess those Neanderthals up in the Bronx Zoo couldnt figure out how to use a keyboard.....guess they havent gotten past right on walls with mud.

He would make a sweet addition to this D:starspin

I may be a bitter Cowboys fan, but I remember seeing a few plays by Asante Samuel in the last game where I thought, "Boy, if he were a Cowboy, that would be a penalty, no doubt!"

Hey man you seem pretty civil for a 'skins fan, but I can't understand why you fans of other teams want to come to another teams board, please explain, I'm not trying to pick a fight or be rude, I just really want to hear you reason why would you want too?

Because this is Americas Team and like us, they LOVE the COWBOYS too. Foreskin fans stay on this board all the time and I can't blame them. Nothing they have can touch this board, That's why they're here. It's just that simple!!

I do not go after nate s or Samuels in FA. I draft a CB in rd 1. No need to spend huge money on a FA coner this year.

Understandable, and no offense taken.

After years on your own teams boards it starts to become monotonous and boring even at times. At least, I can come here and have a reasonable debate (sometimes) and get a non-homer perspective (regarding the Commanders). After a while it just gets to be the same ol' thing day in and day out. If I were a Cowboys fan am tiring of the TO threads at some points, and are increasingly tiring of the Parcells decision threads at this point. Well its the same thing on a Commanders board. Dont get me wrong, I read and post on Commanders boards daily, but there is more interest in reasonable debate and opposition too (At least for me, and several of your Cowboys brethren as well).

Hope that answer is sufficient.

Dude you have over 3000 post on this board. You LOVE it here and you're just a part of a HUGE COWBOY following. 3000 post speaks volumes!!!!

Depends. There may only be 1-2 CBs worth taking at the #22 spot in the draft. We risk the chance that they'll be gone by our pick, however.

On the other hand, there's 4-6 OLBs that will be going around our pick. It may be the case that we can (1) find a CB in free agency easier than OLB and (2) find an OLB in the draft easier than a CB.

You might be right. But do we really need another OLB? We have Ware, Carp, Burnett Ellis( if he returns) Glymph Al S. I know a lot of people on this board, think that moving Carp inside would be the smart thing to do,, to replace James, and I am not against that idea, but he was coming on pretty good late in the year and was producing on the feild. If we are going to draft a LB, why not draft a ILB and leave Carp where he is?

He looked good later in the year in space in the middle of the field and in the flats. He never "came on" as a pass-rusher. He might, but I wouldn't expect too much more. We need someone that can collapse the right (defensive left) side of the pocket.

He only led the league in interceptions and is lightyears better than anything in the Cowboys secondary. I expect much more before I would consider him as a free agent.

I think with a little creativity on defense, the one we have will be pretty darn good. I still wouldn't mind just one more FA on defense and a 1st round LOLB, like say......Jarvis Moss.

:hammer: I'm completely on that bandwagon

Where did they get Vrabel from? That guys a "FOOTBALL PLAYER". The NFL could use more of those.

I miss Billy Boy Bates.

Vrabel was a FA from Pitt, the time Bill B signed him, he was thought to be a quality backup/excellent special teamer

Not many teams are DYING to use that tag. Patriots least of all, the team who just ditches on good players year after year but somehow still wins.......

must be nice. Just win no matter who is playing for you. Hell, WR as a DB.....no problem.

New England let's players go who they feel they have a quality replacement for, the CB position is a little iffy as it is, so they'll franchise Assante

I'm not sure they think he is a top 5 corner in the league to merit Franchise money.

and you think they thought Deion Branch was a top 5 WR?

Just admit it, years of being a Skins fan have taken a huge toll in frustration, so you're shoppin' around for another team... it's hardly surprising that the Boys would be your first choice... :D

Makes sense Pitt's got a few "FOOTBALL PLAYERS" too.
