At least the Cowboys now have a former HC now with Pettine

Most of us were concerned Jethro could wait until season was over if this season totally collapses with no one on staff who’d ever had any NFL HC experience .

Now we have that. It isn’t much but at least he was HC of the Browns a couple seasons. And being a veteran DC we could fire Parker as well.

I can’t recall Cowboys ever bringing on a new coach during season before. This must be very telling how much confidence they’ve lost in Parker only 5 games in as defense has gotten worse.

At least they must know these next couple games are very critical and falling to 2-5 on the road in these next two Prime Time games on Sunday and Monday night could propel Cowboys into a Free-Fall in 2026.

Parker needs help….teams bring in consultants and assistants all the time

Also i dont think these games are crucial coming up….i dont expect this team to make the playoffs. Two teams would have to completely fall apart in the division and the cowboys would have to get on a slight roll and Dallas just isnt good

You are reading way too much into this. If they were this concerned about the defense, they would have done something about it last year.

I’m not really sure how we measure that but that was my take that most fans didn’t think Shotty or Parker would be fired during the season.

Biggest reason was Jethro doesn’t like paying out contracts but also who’d take over on staff. Now we have an answer.

Money talks. They wanted Pettine in the offseason in the same role and he turned them down. He went to Italy and they ponied up. Now he’s excited according to Schotty.
