Rayne Dakota will be 30 next year. At this point he is what he is, a mediocre QB. Our best hope is defense creating turnovers for high probability offensive possessions and leaning on the run game. You put a Justin Herbert under center on this team and we are the NFC favorite.

and both tds were absolute dimes.

I can’t believe how bi-polar this performance was, snd Im sick of needing to go through the mental exercises of analyzing his play. This loss really deflated me

2 months ago that would have been more than enough for the defense to clamp down. Is it all just the injuries?

Dak had like 250 yards. 3 TD to 1 int. And a passer rating of 124 going into OT.

other than the first Int he played very well.

the second int was 100% on Noah Brown who should have caught the pass and gotten us the first down.

INTs are always the receivers fault.
Just imagine the game would be played without them. No more INTs!

probably. respect to the jags though. sunshine was standing tall getting balls off a tenth of a second before being hit/sacked, and even when coverage was solid his receivers were plucking everything that came their way

The hard thing is that Dak is 30 and on the tail end of his 7th season.. there isn't going to be dramatic improvement from here.

What you see.. is what you are going to get.

We have a slightly above average bus driving QB that is also capable of amazing plays and disastrous plays. He is Kirk Cousins, he is a poor version of Alex Smith.

Dak is good enough to steer a team to a SB.. IF you understand what he is and is not. Unfortunately our coaches think he is a 40M 'elite QB' that they can ride to victory. They continue to want to put the ball in his hands at key moments and think that Dak will produce like Mahomes and Allen or Brady and Rodgers..

So is the issue Dak or is the issue the coaching. Dak has shown us time and time again what he is.. is it his fault the coaches refuse to believe it?

I agree, I've got no issues with the offensive game plan today and Dak and KM aside from a few stinker plays I think looked alright. This game in my opinion is 100% on the D, they're resorting back to their bed crapping was of previous seasons.

So why is Herbert's team currently only 7-6? If we talk about injuries to the supporting cast, for Dak it is no excuse. For other QB's it's "a reason".

The double standard is ridiculous. If Herbert is so amazing he needs to carry that team like Dak should be carrying the Cowboys?????
