For Dak this would be making excuses so why is it not for Herbert?

Joe Burrow was the most sacked QB in the league last year and he got the Bengals to the Super Bowl. Just saying.
My comparison is Herbert to Prescott. As a body of work over his career Prescott has had Soooooooooooooooooo much help around him yet well his performances are all there for anyone objective to review. Herbert is running for his life in every game.

Burrow is a fantastic QB. No argument with you there. Bengals have a decent D as well.

Dak has had future hall of fame offensive lineman protecting him. A huge difference to Herbert.

Dak's best line was in 2016 when he went 13-3 as a rookie and set all kinds of records. The line has declined since then and until Tyron Smith came back today only he and Zack Martin remain from that unit.

Dak had like 250 yards. 3 TD to 1 int. And a passer rating of 124 going into OT.

other than the first Int he played very well.

the second int was 100% on Noah Brown who should have caught the pass and gotten us the first down.
Shultz was breaking right with an LB trailing him .. 2 yards of space .. #4 never looked his way.

The Cowboys D has provided a ton of turnovers this season and last in addition to great field position on many occasions helping out the offense. Help comes in many forms.

Further, I would much rather have the Cowboys O line than the wall paper line over at the chargers. Bosa has missed most of the season as well.

cool. we’re talking about careers here. the savior hasn’t made the playoffs i’m just over hearing about what he would do

herbert has mike williams, keenan allen, austin ekeler, joey bosa, khalil mack, derwin james, jc jackson, asante samuel jr and in danger of missing the playoffs again in a division with the raiders and broncos. stop worshipping this dude

Joey Bosa has been out since week 3. Keenan Allen has missed 7 games and Mike Williams missed 4 games, and the Chargers are currently a playoff team.

Now lets do a comparison: Micah Parsons is out since week 3, CeeDee Lamb misses 7 games, and Dalton Schultz misses 4...what is the Cowboys record right now with Dak under center?

edit: and JC Jackson only played 4 games this year.

At the end of the day it doesn’t matter. Dak hit a receiver right in the chest for what would have been a first down. The receiver has to catch the ball.

Done with Dak. I'm also sick of this ****.

A player of his tenure should know not to throw sometimes. And so many of his throws, which don't backfire, are still ill advised

He has a ways to go. The talk by the media and fans is over the top at this point. But, there is a strong argument that Herbert would be the main reason why a good team won games not riding on the coat tails of a good team winning games and one of the main reasons why a good team loses games...refer to Dak Prescott for the latter.

Injuries are a big part. Our secondary is a mess without AB. Joseph can't cover for the few seconds it takes for the rush to get home. Offenses are exploiting it.

This is part of the problem. Our secondary plays off a lot. Hoping to jump routes and they like to watch the QB so they can break on the ball.

this is great when they generate Ints. The downside is. They give the receivers a lot of clean releases off the line and cushion underneath.

So why is Herbert's team currently only 7-6? If we talk about injuries to the supporting cast, for Dak it is no excuse. For other QB's it's "a reason".

The double standard is ridiculous. If Herbert is so amazing he needs to carry that team like Dak should be carrying the Cowboys?????
His team is in the playoffs. If Micah, Diggs, and CeeDee were out for the amount of time that Bosa, JC, and Keenan Allen have been out you slack jawed mfers would be sitting around right now talking about who you want to draft in the top 5 of the 2023 draft.

Yep, the way Dak let those guys score 40. Cant believe it. He needs to work on that. :muttley:
Dak’s inconsistency is maddening. He is directly responsible for giving opponents extra possessions and that is NEVER good. All this crap about defense is useless. The game today has been modified to where “real defense” is illegal. There’s no such thing other than pressuring the QB. All the rest of it is in one’s imagination.

Agreed- 3 & 5 we we allow an 8 yd cushion. It’s beyond me.

Rayne Dakota will be 30 next year. At this point he is what he is, a mediocre QB. Our best hope is defense creating turnovers for high probability offensive possessions and leaning on the run game. You put a Justin Herbert under center on this team and we are the NFC favorite.
He's trash. He needs to be removed for us to ever have a chance at a SB. Till that day talents on this team will be wasted.

bruh he’s never made the playoffs lol

comparisons, how about dak tyron being out all year, amari being gone, gallup missing the first 6 weeks, losing two starting corners, losing starting right tackle

i’m a herbert fan but he’s not the god being made out.

The line in 2016 was once in a generation. It's unrealistic to expect that level of play every season. The overall quality of the offensive line Dak Prescott has had in the league is up there with any other QB in the league over the past 7 years. Joe Burrow has had a poor line since coming into the league yet he quietly goes about his business

and both tds were absolute dimes.

I can’t believe how bi-polar this performance was, snd Im sick of needing to go through the mental exercises of analyzing his play. This loss really deflated me
I was loving watching that first half. The way they moved up and down the field and scored TDs instead of settling for FGs. Dak looked great, amazing even. But then BAD DAK showed up. I agree with you, bi-polar is the correct description for it. Both Dak and Moore are bi-polar. They can look so good, the plays called can be so good - then the next series you are let scratching your head. No idea what either on of them are doing. You are right it drives you nuts from week to week, half to half, series to series. Pure insanity

Prescot is a severely flawed, over hyped overpaid, LESS than mediocre QB. He's like FOOLS GOLD, bright and shiny, but worthless as hell!
