at what age did your vision become a problem?

If not for an eye infection I got 10 years ago, I'd have 20/20 in both eyes.

One eye is 20/20, the other is 20/40 without flareups. With a flare up, I stay off the road.

That sucks. I've never heard of that happening.

Yeah, well neither have all the doctors I've gone to.

Other than a questionable surgery, I'm kinda stuck.

i've always had great vision... but in the last 4 months or so i can't read small print up close..

i have to look at it about 18 inches away or so.

i'm 43

anyone else experience this after 40?

I first got glasses/contacts for distance when I was in 3rd year university, so 20.

I still do not need reading glasses.

First tip is you are looking at fine print with or without glasses and you can't see what you are reading.

I know some lenses actually improve your vision. Will that have any effect?

Although truth be told I didn't admit it was a problem when it started at 43.........
