At what point do comments get linked on how Mike McCarthy ran this team

You know how it goes, once a coach leaves, info gets linked on how the person was, how they coached, what things they let slide, how much players liked them etc, how the coach got along with management!

We are always lead to believe that everything is going beautifully, then afterwards we hear otherwise. Come on Big Mike, tell us how it REALLY was working for Jerry, minus all the praise and thanks for Jerry giving him the job etc! Please give your thoughts

I bet he has to secure another job first. Bashing your old employer on the way out typically isnt a good look, plus some of these owners can be closer to each other than we realize. Reports last season were that Kraft spoiled Belichicks opportunity with Atlanta due to a bad reference. Not sure how true that is, but I have to believe there is some level of truth there.

To spin and sell this next hire, which is going to be a joke, they will have to disparage McCarthy. Jerry has crossed the Rubicon. Most fans see who he is now so the spin will be 24/7.

On the Cowboys podcast yesterday about McCarthy leaving, Nick Eatman was complaining about McCarthy being too easy on the players and that's why many of them wanted him back. He talked about no practice on Fridays and McCarthy being like a substitute teacher who everybody liked.

POST OF YOUR LIFE, can you find the video and the point in the video where he says it. This is a joke, I knew it was something like this, why want change when everything is fun and there's no one holding you accountable

McCarthy does a good job of letting his frustrations known. He always drops comments here and there so I don't think this will take long. Like when he said he would like to have his team signed and ready to go early in the offseason.
I don't think Mike is one to let out his grievances especially if he can land a job he wants.

Think DC writers will leak stuff out to make Mike look worse now that he's leaving.
McCarthy is definitely one to leak things. He himself actually says things all the time that gives clues. Like when he said he likes to have his team signed and ready to go early in the offseason and not late into training camp. Things will be leaked on both sides but we should already know what the problem is.

I guess I should of phrased my comment better. I don't think he will leak anything without a new contract in hand.
signs with Bears, maybe he'll joke, make comments about his last year in Dallas. But I don't think he'll say anything now.

Yeah I saw that too.

It certainly explains the penalties and inability to perform in big games.

I am already hearing how McCarthy had no power as the Cowboys coach. I remember in one of the Cowboys 12 win seasons it was said McCarthy is the reason Quinn was here, Dak is playing the best he has played in his career, and most importantly the players love him. I doubt a coach with no power would get much love from the players and assistant coaches. McCarthy had more control of the Cowboys than Sirani has of the Eagles. Only a handful of coaches had more power.

I am not going to watch it again to point out when he made the comment. Just fast forward through it or download it as a podcast and go quickly through it. The whole show is only about 20 minutes

I get what you are saying. I still think he will. Lol. Didn't Jane Slater already kinda "leak" some stuff about what went down? Coaching wise set aside, I always felt McCarthy was an excuse maker ready to try and save his backside from looking bad in his mind.

Anyway, unfortunately this is what we have to talk about being fans of this clown show!

What do you think, it’s like being here on the forum. These guys are professional. They don’t dirtbag each other.

No you do it Jerry's way or pay the ultimate price
That’s not a true statement that is the biggest speculation on the forum , Mike didn’t want Kellen Moore, and if Jerry takes him back, that should tell you’re right there that Jerry doesn’t get his way. There’s so many examples of Jerry not getting his way, but this forum is ridiculously negative.

Well it's time for that cycle to be broken, he DOES have too much of his hands in my pot. He needs to back off and let those in charge do their job. This is the problem on here people not realizing that Jerry needs to back off, most realize he's the biggest issue
