Everyone is an armchair coach and knows better than the coaches and can make better decisions than the players....so silly. If Atlanta had run the ball more and not converted, same thing may have happened. Then you'd all be saying that you don't take your foot off the throttle and they lost because they went conservative. I've heard it both ways against the Cowboys. Any close game that's lost, it has to be the coach and players gave it away. Atlanta kept doing what they did that gave them the lead; it all went right for Atlanta in the first half, and it all went NE's way in second half. The best team won. Look at the time of possession--40:31 to 23:27. Yards---546 to 344. Plays---93-46. NE dominated this game, all game long. In the end, the score went for the best team, and Atlanta was way ahead incredibly without really doing much.
Wow....I know he was doubled all game, but they only targeted Julio 4 times....4 times! Our coaches and QB would be crucified if we only targeted Dez 4 times in the Super Bowl!

I feel bad for Falcons fans, we have been watching these same moronic coaching mistakes the last 10 years with Jason Garrett. Finding ways to snatch defeat from the hands of victory.

All they had to do was run it on 3rd and 1 or run it 3 times from the NE 25 and kick a FG and the game is over. Bryant is one of the better FG kickers in the NFL, to not run the ball is just plain dumb.

I tuned off early in the 3rd quarter. Changed it back when it was 5 minutes to go in 4th.

What the heck happened. Greatest comeback or biggest choke job o_O

Little of both Dolly, but the Falcons and Shanahan got cute throwing the ball and mismanaged the clock multiple times. Plus, they had a couple players get hurt and stopped the clock for NE at JUST the right time. I wouldn't sleep for a week if I was a Falcon fan. Gonna be a TON of people missing work tomorrow. The psychologists will be busy the next few months too. Still haven't won a SB and worse yet: they GAVE it away

I've been watching sports for many years and I've never heard anyone booed to the extend Goodell was at the end of that game.

It's time the league do the right thing and fire him. He is hired to protect the brand and I just can't see how making every fans in the country absolutely hate the commissioner of the league enhances the brand of the NFL.

I'll be filing this under biggest choke job...I give Brady nothing and never will...NEVER!

He shouldn't have won his last one either....Hawks just gave it away IMO.

NEVER!

You literally run the ball three times after that Julio catch, even if you don't gain a single yard, you kick the easy field goal and the game is over. Complete repeat of the Seahawks.

Brady and the Pats are great, yes, but they've also been the beneficiaries of two of the most idiotic coaching choke jobs in the history of pro sports.

Both these last two titles they won were absolutely over and the other team completely choked it away because of terrible coaching decisions. So stupid.

If you follow the NHL, and when their commissioner shows up in some of the arenas in Canada, he easily gets the loudest jeering...

That DB makes that game sealing INT and we're talking about how bad Brady was this game. Had 4 interceptable passes the last two drives. What the hell was Beasley doing in the end zone?

DUUUUUUUDE...no. Falcons dominated the first half all the way, stats be damned. Scoreboard indicated as much. They had it won a couple times in the second half and Shanahan gave it away by trying to be cute and letting "Matty Ice" sling it around. Cost him dearly. Colossal choke job.
Stats be damned? That's what shows dominance. They were dominated and kept off the field even in the first half. 14 points off two turnovers and one drive on long passes. NE was dropping passes, yet still dominated everything but the scoreboard. That caught up with Atlanta when NE stopped the run. Atlanta targeted Julio Jones only 4 times in 60 minutes....that's insane.
