680 the Fan, Buck and Kincaid reported that the Falcons have offered Garrett the job. No other details. I don't have a link, cause it was on the radio.

As time goes on, and Garrett gets offered more jobs, I grow increasingly worried that Wade is about to get fired.

CATCH17 reports: Falcons are out of their mind if they think he would take that crap job.

Also rumored that his agent is "leaking" offers in an attempt to drive up the price. I believe it was PFT, so take with a grain of salt.

He's a bright guy, but holy crap, after the way his offense went in the crapper the second it lost TO, never to rise again, and considering he only got his offense to put up 17 points against a decimated NY secondary, wow....

This guy must be one helluva GREAT interview.

Jerry's a gambler. No matter how much I believe he's changed, I just can't shrug the feeling that he's about to shock everyone with a ballsy "Jerry" move. He's not a guy that's afraid to make that call, no matter what he says publicly.

I almost asked SP that...

I get the feeling Garrett will leave, we'll hire someone to replace him, and we'll roll on.

But somehow this feels like more than just gaining interview experience or trying to get more money here. I think he goes to Baltimore. (I earlier thought he'd stay here.)

I'll be relieved when this coaching carousel finally comes to a stop.

I'm a worrier. I guess that's why my friends call me "whiskers".

him trying to drive his price up to stay is terrible. if thats all he is in for let him leave. this sets a bad example for the players that try to hold out for more money. so bye to him and welcome home chow

I'd rather have Wade than Garrett....

We have plenty of weapons on offense that would allow us to be successful without Garrett in place. There are plenty of offensive coordinators that will do just fine. This defense needs to be re-vamped in a certain sense. We have to get faster overall to implement the aggressive style that Wade really likes. We need to find a stud NT that will allow Ratliffe to move to DE, and we need quicker LBs.

I'm actually interested in Wade as a talent evaluator. I just noticed that his tenure as the Eagles defensive coordinator brought Philly, both Jerome Brown and Clyde Simmons. And the year before he came, they got Reggie White. I'd like to say he was somewhat instrumental in at least developing Reggie White.

The guy has overseen plenty of talent... From a credential point of view, the guy is really no joke....

Actually when they talk about his interviews, they say he is a great interview.
But I'm like you, had we finished strong yeah, but the way we finished I wouldn't offer him anything.

I'd prefer Garrett stays, but whatever happens hopefully it comes to a conclusion very soon so the Cowboys can make a play for Cameron and Houck and get ready for 08.
I think Cameron is going to be an OC somewhere in 08 and we can go get him sooner rather than later given his history with Wade. I think he'd be a good fit.

He isn't going to Baltimore. I think he stays in Dallas. I am not to worried about him leaving tho. Even if he leaves, I think you will see Cam in here or Chow.

I would be happy w/ either. They are brilliant OC's.

How did his offense go in the tank in the Giants game we had guys open and they dropped 4 passes and left like 4 tds on the field. Lets not even mention the dropped 1st down by crayton then his hesitation on that possible td

So Garret is a moron and his offense sucked in the playoffs because we left 24 points on the field not because of the scheme but because the wr dropped a bunch of balls

I really think if Garrett had wanted the Baltimore job he would have accepted it right away. Doubt they would have low balled him knowing the Falcons also interested. The only way he accepts the Falcons offer is for a long-term guaranteed deal which would allow him to totally rebuild that team w/o threat of losing his job in 3 years.

On the other hand, I'm also hoping he realizes he needs to gain more coaching experience to handle the HC job. Also all franchises are not like the Cowboys. He has a great relationship with Jerry Jones and knows Jones will do anything to win. He's also got a young developing franchise QB, best TE in NFL in Witten & best WR in TO and a pretty decent OL and good RB in MBIII. We are only missing a few pieces of the puzzle to beat the most elite teams in the NFL. We just gotta ensure we have enough vet leadership (probably need add a vet with great leadership/intensity) to keep this team playing at a high level not only through the entire regular season but also in the playoffs/SB.
