Longest field goals in NFL historyHow far is the current FG record?
You mean your own 45 yard line, right? So that puts the ball at the opps 45? Yikes
One thing to keep in mind is that kickers test their distance limit inside the stadium before every game.MM, or whomever the Special Teams shot caller is, has already deferred on two 71 yarders earlier this year.
If I am not mistaken, they decided to punt in a Dome Stadium with nothing to lose by going for the FG. I want to say both opportunities were in good conditions and choosing to take the FG, good or bad, had no serious implications on the games outcome.
I can kind of understand not wanting to give the other team the ball at our 47 yard line if things were high stakes...but the two opportunities they have passed on didnt seem to be big deals at all.
Wonder why they took the rain check those two time.
Do it at the end of a half or while already getting blown out.My math was wrong. You would be giving the ball back to your opponent on your own 38 yard line.
Its risky.
Your opponent is already in FG territory.
Absolutely! Any remaining game with good conditions he should be given multiple tries until he gets the record.Got to let him do it!!!
Or to win the Super BowlDo it at the end of a half or while already getting blown out.
Do you know how to use Goggle? Damn...How far is the current FG record?
Agreed. If the Cowboys aren't going to give us anything else this year, give us this.I need this attempt in my life. In a wasted season, I need the 70-yard attempt.
There should be 100's of signs in the stands that say that exact thing.Let Aubrey Kick!
