He was the guy that championed Brad Johnson as a backup
Yeah yeah. Once upon a time Bill Cowher believed Kordell Stewart was a starting calibar QB. Bill Parcells benched Phil Simms for a nobody.
He was the guy that went an entire game without giving Felix Jones a carry
Yeah, because a certain WR went to the owner and said he needed the ball every down, so despite having double and triple coverage, the QB continued to throw the ball to said receiver.
He was the guy that continued to go with Marion Barber, instead of Tashard Choice, the obvious hot hand
Are you talking about the KC game this week? Choice got alot of his yards on 2 or 3 carries.
He is the one that devises game plans where you attack Pro Bowl corners each and every chance you get
And yet he didnt attempt a single pass in that game.
He is the one that throws consecutive lobs to Martellus Bennett when it is completely unnecessary
He didnt throw any lobs. He called the play, and the first one was to Roy Williams, who should have caught the ball.
He is the one that needed 5 games into the 2009 Season to see just what Miles Austin brings to the table
Austin has played every game. He's been out there, ask the QB why he didnt throw to him more. Maybe go back and look at video of Romo badly overthrowing a wide open Austin for an easy TD in week one, or maybe view those last two plays again in Denver where Romo throws to Hurd instead of a wide open Austin.
Jason Garrett has been atrocious and has benefited from 3 teams on the Schedule that are combined 1-14.
Offense is still ranked #1 in the league though and is at or near the top in just about everything. And the run game was amazing against a great NYG team, so it isnt a product of only a bad schedule.
Folks need to use what they see on the field as a gauge, rather than looking at stat sheets
Pot, meet kettle
The Cowboys had the number 1 defense in 2003 and I don't think anyone on this board at the time really bought into it
This point is valid, but that was based on what happened in an entire season. This has only been 5 games.
Garrett hasnt been perfect, but the offense has struggled mostly because of our QB's surprising lack of accuracy and one game where he made 3 or 4 awful decisions. We've also had to deal with injuries to our top 2 RB's again.
