Romo's PERCENT of attempts over 21 yds are WAY down from previous seasons.

And, of course, this doesn't at all lead to the conclusion that "Short routes are pretty much all we've been running all year."

It only means we're running less deep routes than in previous years.

Which is a good thing, I think.

CLEARLY its WAY down. It isnt a little, its ALOT.

Its also interesting that there is one clown running around in CZ that says our offense sux because thats all we do is run "vertical" routes, when in fact we threw deep MORE before Garrett took over.

Completion of shorter passes doesn't mean that we are targetting shorter routes. It simply means Romo is making a consistent effort not to throw the ball downfield when the play is not there.

As I said, you wanna talk horrible statistics, look at the red-zone. We can't score passing wise. Romo has only thrown for 6 TDs and 5 of those 6 were over 50 yards. Our passing game is essentially a joke.

Yeah I should have said that.

But it doesnt change the fact that deep throws are WAY down, so that means shorter throws are WAY up. Compared to what we've done previously.

And like I did state, it appears he is no better than middle of the pack compared to the rest of the league. And when all are looked at he very well could be towards the bottom.

There were a number of people complaining in 2006 that we were running too many deep routes after Romo took over, particularly when he started struggling late in the season. The argument was that Sparano was getting too far ahead of himself with his "new toy."

When you throw it 15 plus times at Champ Bailey and are asked about it at the end of the game, you say things politically correct... what is he going to say? yeah I targetted Champ Bailey and looked like an idiot for doing so, because we failed everytime we tried to throw against him.. that's around how many times Garrett threw to TO per game, per the anti-TO crowd?

He was the guy that continued to go with Marion Barber, instead of Tashard Choice, the obvious hot hand

He is the one that devises game plans where you attack Pro Bowl corners each and every chance you get

He is the one that throws consecutive lobs to Martellus Bennett when it is completely unnecessary

He is the one that needed 5 games into the 2009 Season to see just what Miles Austin brings to the table

Jason Garrett has been atrocious and has benefited from 3 teams on the Schedule that are combined 1-14.

Folks need to use what they see on the field as a gauge, rather than looking at stat sheets

The Cowboys had the number 1 defense in 2003 and I don't think anyone on this board at the time really bought into it

487 yards, 380 yards, 453 yards, 344 yards, 373 yards... and we all know how that went..
