Wade needs to step in this week and make sure everyone understands attention to detail.

He could try:

Anyone who misses a snap count will be removed from the game for one series.

Anyone who does not stay in the huddle until they break the huddle will also been removed the very next play for one series.

I don't pretend to think Wade reads this stuff and if he did would care much for it...but they obvously need to change the environment.

the reason for hiking the ball so late is it allows the line to pick up who is coming and who they need to pick up on the blitz

Dude. You can't be hiking the ball with 1 second left on the clock time and time again. It's give the defense an advantage and it's a cause for some of the false starts. It may even be a casue for some of the BS snaps we see from Gurode.

The bottom line is that the 'O' isn't smooth at all.

And they took plenty of time last Saturday in listening to Romo identify the 'Mike', which is weird to me because Gurode should be doing all the line calls at this point in time, and they still didn't get the blocking assignments correct. They were times when Flozell dropped inside and let a dleayed blitzer come off the edge while he blocked no one.

Gee, you think?

I'm not one of these folks who claims to post without any agenda.

Secondly...

I'm right. :)

You are right. Because Wade says he wants the blame becasue he is the head man in charge.

If he sees Garrett's offense faltering he ought to take a hint from his WR's and go have a meeting with him. Although we really haven't seen one bit of change in Romo's passing distribution. I am sure that's going real well with T.O. and Roy.

Exactly... Of course there are times when an offense is going to run the clock down to 1 second, but this team does it continuously, and it seems disorganized. It isn't like they are trying to take into account the lineman, it seems more like they are just trying to get their own play in.... And Romo is still looking around, and Gurode snaps it while Romo isn't looking to get the ball off...

Do you really think a guy who would try to pass off a bye-week as a playoff win would have the discipline to follow any of your suggestions?

Garrett needs to get on Romo about tempo. Sometimes Romo has his lineman sitting in there stance for hours on end. How about we get to the line and snap the ball so the defense can't settle in, especially on running plays.
Great point. I noticed the Bears did this last night on that 4th and 1 in the 4th quarter. Orton went up to the line and the play was off and running as soon as he got under center. It doesn't give the defense time to setup.

Choice said they have to do a better job with the little things the coaches ask them to do during the week.

More to the story though. It's a very good listen. Check it out later on.

I will, thanks for posting it.

Do yourself a favor next time and count how many plays Romo "kills". He seems to doing that a lot more recently.

Well, that's not working as evidenced by the Ravens game. It looked like a chinese fire drill.
That's because when you wait to the last second to snap the ball, the defense knows when the snap is coming. Since the fans know that, you would think the coaches would as well ..

Do you think a QB that thinks "a long ...up for grabs ...pass is just as good as a punt" is a QB in full control and a leader? :)

A QB that questioned his love for the game?

A QB that that goes directly to the bench and sits by himself after throwing a TD in a close game

A QB that thinks he is Payton Manning and running the clock right down to the last second......giving the defense time to adjust and know the snap count....

Are we to assume all this is done because the other players dont know what they are doing? and Romo has given up?

Is that why Romo just looks at his first option?

Just sayin :)

This whole coaching staff is lame... Why haven't some of these guys been fired? Reed needs to go. Stewart needs to go.. We all know he can't run a defense. Jason Garrett needs to learn how to run an offense.. We have all these guys on the staff that don't know what the hell they are doing. Its almost like these guys are getting trained on the job.

No one said Romo was perfect.

But he's better than most QB's in the NFL.

So why did the 90's Cowboys seem like they played at such a faster tempo and rarely milked the clock down to near zero? That was about the very first thing I noticed last week while watching the replay of the Emmitt seprated shoulder game. vs the Giants.

Just last night I watched the Pack/Bears game and on a couple of short yardage situations the QB simply went up to the line of scrimmage and snapped the ball without any pre-snap reads....when is the last time the Boys did that?

They really need to stop being so cute and play football.

The staff was built bass ackwards from the beginnning.

Choice on Irvin Show
-------------------------------

The problem I have is that this offense never looks 'comfortable' anymore.

They've looked out of sync since the skins game, all it takes is one good game and everything might click again problem is there's only 1 game left if it doesn't :banghead:

Yes I have noticed it a lot and it almost as antagonizing as Peyton Manning when he used to do all that moving around and crap at the line of scrimmage. I am a huge Romo fan but he has to start taking care of the ball more and also I would like to see him run a little more. I know his back is still hurting but there were a couple of times in that game I was yelling for him to run for the first down when he could have made it or he waited too long.

When this team is on offense, nobody sees wade calling plays like he has been doing with this defense. His defense isn't making very many busted assignments as of late.

I can think of two small ones from Saturday Nights game. ;)

Yeah, if there is a communication problem on a team I always look to blame the OC first.

Some of you are amazing at the steps you take to try to convince us that the SOB (son of bum) has done a good job with this squad.

True dat. But hey we're the best walkthrough team Wade's ever had!

The way this staff has been assembled in Dallas has been terrible since Jimmy Johnson left. A head coach should be allowed to choose his assistants. Not have them "gently suggested" to him by the owner/GM or in the case of Garrett, be like marrying a woman with baggage.

Forget gently suggested. The man was in place before Wade was and he's making just as much money.

I would be surprised if Wade is even on Jerry's 'Fav 5' list.

We got Irvin, Garrett, Stephen, Lacewell and I am going to go with Deion as the last one.

:lmao2:
