I think maybe Dilfer is too new to realize he probably isn't suppose to say that, but I'm glad he did. He called out Chris Carter and other "analysts" during the NFL draft when the question was brought up if we are a better team without T.O., Pacman, and Tank. And Chris Carter said no, we lost too much talent. Dilfer came right back and said, "Wait, didn't we say they had to get rid of all of those distractions to get better, and they did, and now they aren't better for it?" It was the first time I have ever heard an analyst get called out on what they have previously said. It was almost like Dilfer went "Daily Show" on him and caught him backtracking. I applaud Dilfer for saying that, because he is completely, 100% right, and wasn't afraid to say it. In 2008, we didn't start 0-5 after our 13-3 season, yet you don't hear squat about Tennessee. Now I know the almighty dollar talks the loudest, but you can't say you have the best analysis and coverage when you'd rather spend all your time and resources commenting on the cowboys clubhouse laundry boy. Dilfer has been earning major points with me, and he has gotten to the point with me that I know what he says is what he thinks, and not shoved down his throat through the teleprompter. I tell everyone that we are still America's Team because either you love us or you hate us. But what ESPN does is strictly hate. I firmly believe that even if we win a super bowl, they would rather focus on a false start penalty at the end of the game while we're taking a knee.

"I'm here at the Super Bowl, where I talked to an unnamed source that told me that he was very disappointed in Flozell Adams' false start penalty at the end of the game. While the Cowboys were up by 10 points, he felt that it could have cost them the game in the last 23 seconds. For ESPN, I'm Ed Werder."

Agreed.

Dilfer not only seems very knowledgeable but he also seems like he is going to be honest and non-biased. He is more about telling it like it is(or atleast as he sees it) than going with the flavor of the day.

Scoring points with me also.

ESPN likes to discuss us.

We like to get butthurt over it.

Its a perfect union.

BSPN likes to create and dwell on negative views of the Dallas Cowboys.

Therefore I refuse to watch any of their commentary programs. (That's the advantage of having NFLN)

It's a perfect union.

This one is for the fans out there who say they have given up on watching ESPN because the 'Worldwide Leader in Sports' hates the Cowboys...

Trent Dilfer on The Herd with Colin Cowherd

The Cowboys didn't even lose to the Chiefs and they faced more criticism from that game then the Eagles will face from an actual loss to the Raiders.

It's funny to me. But I know some fans get all bent out of shape about it.

I think it has more to do with ESPN just wanting to talk about the Dallas Cowboys all day every day because it sells.

I heaerd it yesterday as well, and Dilfer was right on. It's everywhere though. Heck, the local sports radio show is told to rag the Boys 'cause it get's their fans calling and generates more interest than their hometown Panthers.
