Ummm, Garrett is running the very timing offense you speak of, which is why T.O. is struggling. Defenses know that they can jam him at the line and disrupt his timing. In the west coast offense where T.O. has thrived, this is not a facotr because precision routes are not the norm, while more freelancing is. The problem with T.O. this season is that he is playing in the timing offense like it is a west coast offense. But ultimately, you can't blame the player for lacked discipline when the offensive coordinator continuously starts him anyways.

What in the hell are you smoking?

First of all, Terrell Owens has never played in an actual West Coast Offense (or rather, Bill Walsh-style offense, which hasn't existed since around 1991, which was Holmgren's last year as 49ers offensive coordinator). But you think the WCO wasn't TIMING BASED?

Just got a chance to listen to the entire thing... Thank you to DC for the podcast and to Sham and Larry Brown for saying what needs to be said. Outstanding stuff.

:clap2:

But I bet a ton of TO fans won't even bother listening to this. A couple of them need to take blood pressure medication beforehand if they do.

And their opinions matter about as much as anyone else's here...Who cares?

Terrell Owens is a great football player. To say otherwise, is not very smart, imo.

I didn't hear these guys talking about him this way last year.

When you judge him on the field, his play speaks for itself.

Why can't this team get the ball into the two big WRs hands?

It can't be all the WRs fault.

Bingo...

And the real danger with TO is that he's such a polarizing personality that if he goes off, some people will take his side.

Basically EVERYONE takes his side. That's because basically everyone on the team likes him...because he's nothing like what clueless lay internet dweebs think he's like. To those who actually know him, he's no different than anyone else. He's a laid back, down to earth, characteristically stubborn southern black man...that's the best way I can put it.

But ooooooh, he did this, that, this, that, and this. The cameras showed his mouth moving on the sidelines and he looked frustrated while the team was losing. Gee, NOOOOOOBODY ever does THAAAAAT. In football, players sit on the sidelines and are all stoic. You never saw Troy Aikman or Michael Irvin shouting things on the sidelines or anything EVERRRR.

T.O. is such an awful teammate, yo. He was voted team captain because so many people are sick of his crap. He plays dominoes in the locker room with about 20 of the starters, but of course, at least 12 of them really don't like him...they're just too scared to say anything so they pretend to like him and come on Inside the Huddle just to appease him....but you can see the sheer HAAATRED in their eyes.

All those former Eagles teammates that he still hangs out with? Oh, they really dislike him, they are just worried that he's going to throw dem under da bus, yo.

Same with all those former 49ers teammates.

All those wide receivers he's taken under his wing everywhere he's been...obviously, he's da most selfish person in da history of da universe, so he must have had ulterior motives. Hmmm, OH, I KNOW, he just did it to try to make people think he's not selfish, when in actuality he's VERY selfish!

This team needs more players like the following:

Sham and Brown talk WRs

Wow. That is some great stuff from a legend in Cowboys Nation.

I put up a new thread because a few people killed the other one with BS.

More TO bashing.. not worth my time. No thanks.

29th in the NFL in catches.

20th in the NFL in yards.

It's speaking "just pretty good" to me.

actually, larry brown said that JG's offense is not Norv's offense.
also, they pointed out that no former players or coaches speak negatively about Irvin, Emmitt or Troy, but TO has pissed off plenty. they said that those players knew the pecking order and didn't *****, they just wanted to win. TO is for
TO more than the team, that's the problem.

Burress only had 35 catches prior to that incident-still didn't take away the fact of him being a very valuable asset to the Giants O.

who would you rather have in their prime, on this team now, TO or Mike Irvin?

I believe even you yourself said that as well. You said that if TO wasn't in the Pitt game, we would have put up 20+ pts, Holland wouldn't have gotten injured(ditto Hamlin and Davis), etc.

So are you saying our season is over now?

Well I think Larry Brown's opinion matters a little more than ours since he was an NFL CB and he watches the coaches film every week.

You really don't make a lot of sense most of the time.
