Many read my post and think im against Jenkins, but i am not. Nothing in the world would make me happier than for this guy to justify his 1st round status. After the Giants game this guy is the last guy on our team that should be cocky and talking smack to a proven threat.

Manningham made him look like an idiot. Why didnt he talk smack then?

I am a diehard cowboy fan but Newmans "humble CB, let my skills speak for themselves" attitude is not catching on with Jenkins, and that is a shame.

Jenkins did well this game, but I think the smack talk takes him out of concentration and i wish he would stay away from it.

Hamlin not Jenkins. Reading comprehension owns you sir. Did you even listen to the audio file.

Speaking of Hamlin... That was the poorest excuse for a hit on that offensive pass interference call ever. He had fifteen yards to think on how to hit the WR and still dinked.... that guy is toast.

Why was Jenkins talking smack to Steve Smith after he hit him outta bounds??/ No reason....

I'm ONLY talking about the play. You said Newman would've been toast and I'm explaining to you that Hamlin was edged to Smith's side on a double team. So there wouldn't have been any toasting. It also wasn't a designed slant and go. Newman took away the inside on a called slant because he had double team help to the outside and Smith tried to improvised. He's admitted as much several times after the game.

My reading comprehension is fine. Your football analysis on the other hand........

Steve is frustrated he admitted as much. And he's not too far off on what he's saying. I have much respect for Smith. Especially after taking blame for that INT Delhomme threw. Not my receivers take blame for a INT.

I continue to think that Mike Jenkins needs a lot of work.

Agreed, solid ball skills but still gets lost in space alot. Seems to have the talent though.

Steve smith is really short. Newman always makes his life hell. If delhomme wouldve realized smith was running a Sla-go Newman wouldve been toast for about 15. He got lucky on that pic. Im glad he did though that closed it out for us

It wasn't lucky at all. Newman bumped Smith off his route and took the inside. Delhomme had a shallow drop back, so Newman was right to jump the route.

Are you drinking???

Steve Smith trash-talked Jenkins because he bumped him out of bounds.

Jenkins responded with trash talk and Smith didn't know to act and has been chippy about it ever since. Smith couldn't even get back to the huddle for all his hollering at Jenkins.

Smith had a bad day and was frustrated. He thought he could take it out on Jenkins but Jenkins said something back....

Again, Jenkins played man coverage WITHOUT safety help and more than held his own.

You can knock Jenkins all you want, the coaching staff likes him enough to make him the starter over Scandrick who is a pretty darn good player in his own right.

Ask yourself when was the last time we had a 2nd CB who could man cover a team's 2nd best WR? Maybe Anthony Henry's first year here?

Not only that but TNew had help over the top. Provided Hamlin didn't whiff on a tackle, TNew had every reason to play that slant aggressively.
