Audio: The ENTIRE Brooking vs Dennis segment!

The entire segment is far better than the 3 minute blurb. Keith Brooking flat out punked Steve Dennis. He got him to admit he was satisfied with Parcells at 23-20 and 1 playoff loss, but isn't as satisfied with Wade at 30-13 and 1 playoff loss in the same time frame.

Agenda exposed.

He says that now.

But dennis was after parcells 24-7. Don't think for a minute he wasn't. I said it in the other thread, he has always been the guy to take the other opinion.

You would know better than I would. All I know is Brooking got him to flat out confess that and it made him look stupid.

Like many of the media here, after bill left they changed their tune about him.

Most of them like Steve Dennis, changed his tune so that it would fit in with whatever he was cornering phillips with that day.

But in 06 dennis blamed everything on parcells. Everything. You would have thought campo was the coach still.

oh and laufenberg makes dennis look stupid every week. One of the videos I put up a week ago or so, laufenberg got him to twist his opinion about 3 times in a 6 minute span about Jason Garrett!!!

Steve Dennis like many media members in every city, he just always portrays the image that there is someone better, someone who does it different. The angry fan falls for it every week!

How can you not like Keith Brooking? Im not a big fan of Wade's but you have to respect what Brooking had to say.

I agree, Steve Dennis has always been the guy that plays Devil's Advocate and I have always questioned his Football Knowledge after seeing him do Pre Game Shows on TV with Mickey and when Randy Galloway brings him on.

On Randy Galloway's show, he always plays down victories and over dramatizes losses. Sometimes I just flip to The Ticket or 105.3 when comes on.

Reminds me, I will never forget the time when Mickey and him got into on one of the Pre Game shows before a Preseason game. And of course, the argument was about none other than Romo vs Henson. Mickey was a huge Henson homer at that time and Steve Dennis, like the Babe, was propping Tony Romo up.

I love Keith Brooking and I think he gives 110% on every play, but the best way to defend Wade is for the Cowboys to win 3 of the final 4 games and to at least win 1 playoff game. Do that and Wade will not need defending.

pure poetry ^

The reporter is correct. This team has and is acting like "they done enough"
All Phillips talks about is how many regular season games he has won.

After listening to the rest of this, Keith is satisfied with wining games in the regular season also.
He doesn't mention Wades December record.

It's great to win those games but it's not enough. It gets you nothing.

no. dennis basically questioned wade phillips as a leader compared to parcells who he says IS a leader, yet parcells has worst results than phillips with the same number of playoff wins and appearances. If you want to say phillips is living off of parcells' built team, then take away parcells' first 10-6 season where he lived off of a campo built team and what do you have? a mediocre record of 24-24. if you want to compare the same team essentially? parcells 9-7, the following year, wade 13-3. It can't go both ways.

i wanted a different coach here, but i support the man and can't believe how brutal the dallas media is. big city reporter complex i swear...do nothing but try to find ways to blow the team up and make headlines to get larger gigs ala skip and ed werder.

That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard. If you think you are a loser you have already lost.

Not saying that "you" belive your a loser but to everyone else, you are what you are that week.

Steve Dennis is a tool; you can just hear it in his voice. It's shock sports jouralism even though he claimed that he wasn't trying to get personal. But this is a battle Brooking can't win and he even sounds foolish. He deflects all blame from Wade and makes a ton of excuses for the HC, even though he admitted the team was in chaos at the end of the season which resulted in the Philly debacle. Who's fault was that? And you won't get very far comparing Wade's record to that of Jimmy Johnson (or even BP) and stating that he's had a better record during his tenure as HC; that's just plain stupid.

Wade was given the keys to a team that was expected to challenge for a SB (or at the very least, the division) and he's failed miserably to lead this team. When you hear the words "team" and "chaos," that's all I need to know about Wade on the leadership front. The sad part is that these are wasted years with a franchise QB who's close or at 30 years of age. The dread I feel is nothing compared to what it'll be like if Romo hangs up the cleats owning all the Cowboy's passing records and have little in terms of SB(s) to show for it.

I absolutely love Keith Brooking. I'm so glad he's a Dallas Cowboy and I'm thrilled he'll likely finish out his career here.

What a great pick up this offseason.

What is it with certain members of the media feeling entitled?

Steve Dennis actually thinks his line of thinking and questions will motivate the team. He thinks it is his responsibility to hold the team accountable. Silly me thinking it is the medias responsibility to report the facts.

He thinks he can tell Wade he is a winner after he wins a SB. Like all is good in the world now that Steve Dennis declared Wade a winner.

I loved how Keith implied the only reason he did what he did was to get on ESPN.

Brooking was exactly right. if you wanted to know if wade was content, ask him that. if you wanted to know if wade was holding players accountable, ask him that. don't ask a dumb question intended to bait wade for controversy and then hide behind what you were supposedly looking for when confronted with it.

Just a minute here. So you are saying that if the Saints or Colts lose this week they are losers?

Dude, I understand bitterness over a loss, but is it necessary to make it monumental?

That's my issue with all of this crap. Hyperbole run amok.

Oh-oh, here comes the punch...

I love these responses when Parcells tenure here is worse than Phillips.
Record wise sure it was, that's obvious. Compare the rosters and the maturity
of some of the players. Parcells had to bring in ageing vets because our GM
had filled the roster with his wet dream players.

Let's say for the sake of argument, Jones suddenly became a smart GM and started making the right decisions on players, do you really think they would turn it around over night? It does happen but it's very rare.

Parcells knew the personalities of his players, he knew who needed to be nursed along and who didn't. He did just that (see Romo).

Phillips was handed the keys to a very well built team. (weather it was Parcells or Jones) He couldn't keep one big name player in check so that hurt the rest. That player is gone, what's the excuse now?

This is simply Phillips MO. Win the regular season, lose a big game when you need the momentum and fall back on your regular season record.
He doesn't have the answers to get any team to the next level. It isn't in him.

We lose to the Chargers we can say we are 8-5 I guess. Whoopee!

Thank you!

If we were 4-8 I could understand this line of questioning, but at 8-4 we are ahead of where most of the mediots expected us to be at this point in the season. Since they can't blame Romo for this loss, like they usually do, they put it on Wade.

It is NOT the media's job to hold a team/coach/players accountable. That statement there shows just how far down the media has gone. They should be about reporting the news but instead they have made it their mission in life to create news by generating controversy.

Wade is right for blaming the media because they ARE to blame for the perception that is out there. Most other teams in the NFL would LOVE to trade their record for ours right now. Just ask the Commanders if they would rather have our record or their own. How about the reigning SB champs? You think the Stealers wouldn't rather be 8-4 than 6-6?

These mediots need to shut their pie-holes and just report the news for a change. :bang2:
 to this post and BigDen's.

And just a note to theebs... I listen to Dennis on GAC on Mondays, and honestly, I usually kind of like his take on things. I don't remember him going after Parcells that much, but maybe I'm wrong. But my guess is that maybe it was actually his love for Owens that made him say bad things about Bill, since he saw them as opposed to each other? Because he was as big as TO fan as anyone on here. Or almost...

Oh, and I literally LOL'd so loud I'm lucky the whole office didn't come in to see what was going on when Keith started off with , "No, I'm not feeling very festive right now... I guess I'm about as good as I can be considering I'm not a winner." :laugh2:

Only a complete idiot would think that this coach (or team) is "content" with what they've accomplished. Neither Phillips nor any player have said that they are content.

Are they "losers"? No! They're 8-4 and in 1st place! Is that enough? Is anybody happy about that? No. But it's a heck of a lot better than most teams in this league.

I would much rather be in this position than the position of a majority of the teams in the NFL.

This guy Dennis is a typical Dallas media tool that can only focus on the past. Let's talk about SD - not last December. Every loss this year has been "the beginning of the end". The doubters come out and pound their chests. Well Dallas has won 8 of 12 and all 4 losses were tight games. This team competes and usually wins. They make mistakes and certainly have had a few rough calls and bounces, but overall they WIN. There is nothing wrong with calling these guys "winners" at this point in the season. If the season ended right now they would be a divison winner. Nobody said "playoff winner" because the playoffs haven't happened yet!

NOBODY has indicated that they are "content".
