Wade Phillips: ‘Defensive’ Guru, lol.

By dcfanatic, October 14, 2009 6:32 pm

How is this the first time I got around to coming up with that freaking awesome blog entry title? lol.

Here's Wade trying to convince everyone that it's gonna be alright and that as long as players know that they are making mistakes all the time that it's ok...

Wade Phillips Show on The Fan

Besides the constant defending of everyone under the sun.

Why is Miles Austin not returning kicks anymore? Has to be because he's now a starting WR right?

LOL. Twenty five wins in three years. How about playoff wins Wade? Zilcho!

Can someone tell this guy he's not coaching at South Texas North Central State University!!!

Instant gratification? Can I just get a team that doesn't wake up on Sunday by falling out of the bed? lol.

I want to sit on the sidelines and COMPLAIN, scream real loud and show these NFL coaches I can do a better job while im playing MADDEN!!!!!!!!!!!

WHOOOOOOOOOOOO Go me, and all the sayings that go when you congratulate yourself for pushing buttons on a game.

Glad we dont superimpose our egos at the monitors while we're trying to teach NFL coaches their jobs.

Wade is not a legitimate NFL caliber head coach, he is a yes man who is walking the sidelines still because a illegitimate GM doesn't want to admit his mistake in hiring him in the first place. Has nothing to do with video games.

lol DC i gather your not pleased with good ole wade
jerry jones seems to be;

i think thats part of the problem DC, wade thinks he is coaching at South Texas North Central State U.

He still thinks they are improving, and no big problems

luckly Joe D. saw those problems and is fixing them on special teams
something that wade isnt doing as head coach
on defensive side

let alone jason garrett who isnt lighting a fire underneath TE Bennett;
dont forget john garrett jasons brother is the TE coach

and finally, yep miles austin is a starter so were going to use a 34 year old guy to return kickoffs, how about that DC?

I used to think Barry Switzer was the biggest moron of a "yes man" that Jerry could roll out....Wade destroyed that line of thinking. Tony Romo has a job only b/c we have a cream puff boot licker of a coach who refuses to criticize
the inconsistencies and demand better play from our qb. I like the quote that referred to Jerry as the "illegitimate GM". well spoken...

What was the score?

I bet you drove your offense down with about two minutes left and won the game while Wade saved his timeouts for a rainy day, lol.

are you the type of guy that thinks you are a musician because you play rock star? I bet you have yahoo vids of you rocking on rock star. You just come off as that type of person.

How many NFL jobs have you done? Who is recruiting you for their team? Id bet top dollar you'd be a bigger yes man than Wade if it meant you got a gig with not any NFL team but the Dallas "we are known World wide" Cowboys. I bet you would. I can see you wielding your lips to Jerrys but cheeks for that gig.

Compared to people on a board sitting around thinking they could do better, yeah I am, whatever you want to think of Wade he has us at 3-2 and a couple teams would love to have that problem.

If he resets the record, starts again after the bye and tells the players it gets ugly for the next stretch but they got a lot of problems out of the way, they can do like other teams and just make a run for it.

I will say it before and I will say it again, Dallas has only lost to undefeated teams. Now im sure when you were coaching your teams went undefeated every season. I remember those days with Team X and how the fans rallied behind you in the first quarter when you would let the opponents score 21 points and you'd lead the team to victory.

But there are some sure fire coachs in the league right now, remember the ones who wanted Ron Riveria, hes head coaching who right now? And Mike Singletary who has his hands full in 9er land. How is Jeff Fischer doing right now? How about Tomlin?

Say what you want about Wade, and I know you will, he at least his head coaching a job a lot of coachs would kill for. Like Parcells said it best, when you Head Coach the Dallas Cowboys you are heading coaching the Vegas line up and as Robert Goulet put it, if you arent working New Years Eve in Las Vegas, you arent working again.

This guy has the premiere team of the NFL and is doing a good job with the crop of players he was handed. This team wasnt playoff material when Parcells was here and Wade got it close his first year and we are really churning the roster some more. If have of the draft class this year works out we are pretty good with our stars and our back ups.

Trust me when i say this, Zorn would kill for our problems.

So what you're saying is that since Wade is a better coach than an internetz message board poster, he is doing a good job? I can't argue with that logic.

Also, just because Zorn sucks more than Wade doesn't mean Wade doesn't suck. They both suck. Zorn just sucks more.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree about his coaching prowess, but I can almost guarantee you Wade won't be around next year, and that won't be because he's such a great coach that Jerry will get jealous and fire him.

its like debating a wet blanket that wasnt to change peoples perspective to suit their own arguement.

Wade is not the horrible coach everyone WANTS him to be. He is a solid coach who never made the hump. Dan Marino never won the Super Bowl, do you think hes a bad QB because of it? Some people would argue the fact.

Wade is working on a stage much bigger than he anticipated and hes doing an okay job. Do i want Super Bowl wins every year, no, do I personally need a playoff win every year, no, I root for my team win or lose.

I personally like Wade better than some of the other coaches other people wanted just because they were younger, some havent proved they could go to the bathroom by theirselves, but you saw posters screaming at the top of their lungs for them. Such is having an opinion, a right we all share but differ on. Its life, suck it up.

Oh btw before you start that arguement, no the Cowboys are not on this earth to appease you or other posters. So they are going to go along with their business, make their money and enjoy their lives regardless of what we all post.

You can get mad about it all you want, but you are the one getting mad, not them.

Wade has six winning seasons in seven years. He may not be an elite coach but to say he is not NFL caliber is disengenous.

Interesting perspective :) I don't agree, but that's why I like message boards. I like hearing other opinions than my own.

yes i am disappointed in the job Wade has done so far with the Cowboys.

For those of you who express your disappointment questioning his ability
or his credentials I have posted his career stops, a resume if you will.

Until all of you post yours so i can compare his with yours I will continue to
believe that Wade knows more about football than us. Silly me.

LOL. I don't play Rock Star or Madden.

You sound a little silly spouting off on a football mesage board in defending Wade by saying that no NFL teams want to hire me. They don't want you or anyone else on here either. This is something we all already know.

This is a place to give opinions as fans of the Dallas Cowboys. That fact obviously went over your head on this one.

Maybe you would jump at the chance to work for Jerry Jones because he's 'Jerry Jones'.

Me, I wouldn't work for Jerry Jones because he's 'Jerry Jones'.

Get it.

Thanks for dissing Wade without even knowing it.

Wade is just happy to have the job is what you just insinuated and I think you are correct. He's had that outlook from day one.

This is the reason he's afraid to try and take control of this team. It's the #1 reason this team is completely undisciplined and has little focus when Sunday rolls around.

And you just put yourself on the radar. Don't ever post anything on here where you criticize one of the players or anything they do in the games.

If you do you would be the biggest hypocrite. Becasue we all know damn well that no NFL teams are looking at signing you to play QB, RB, WR, etc.
