The cap is not going to lower. The teams are making money through ad revenue with companies putting tarps over the seats.
It's likely going to be lower IMO. Ad Revenue from tarps? LOL. Take Philly. Their average price for a ticket is around $162 per Seat Geek averages. Their stadium seats 70,000. That's over $11 million a game in just ticket revenue lost. That's $88 million over 8 home games. Tarp ad space isn't generating anything near that. And we haven't even talked about concessions, parking, etc.
The NFLPA isn't dumb either. It's why they negotiated a signed deal with the owners to set a floor of $175 million for the 2021 cap. They know revenues will be down too.
